Nope, but now I have. The resolution passes. Ideas for the army?

I will go. Maybe we can get it to surrender, and then I can bind it like we did with the army.
Also, has anyone considered that the danger may not be an "It"? It may be a "They".

Well, I did only detect a single presence, but that was a while ago

My guess is, it is a creature which has been worshipped as a god(damn pagans in the north)
And now has godlike powers......

Which is why people of the north are immune to my disease, and why it steals prayer from us

Well, I'm working on getting some air units, and I'm sure that my raiders will be eager to defend their homeland. Perhaps Azem could create some fireproof units to counter the beast's flames. And if we had Cupiditas and Cecilla (My Fae Courtier of Fertility) work together, we could raise quite a sizable army. Of course, you gods and devils would have to deal with that population increase increasing your upkeep, so we may have to skip that part.

And I have considered that "It" might be a "They". In fact, it very well may be a group of Protogenos' wyverns. They were becoming increasingly savage before his disappearance, and unless they have been wiped out, it is reasonable to assume that they have become even more so.

Well, if the God of Undeath would be willing, I will allow him to (temporarily!) raise EVERYTHING that ever died in the North, using either the original souls if I have them or substitutes.

He immediately begins to beavergoat the man quite thoroughly! At the very beginning, the man is mystified by James' actions, but his face quickly becomes a mask of horror when the procedure starts!

"OH GODS WHY? WHYYY?"

After a twenty minute session, the man is left white as a sheet, hairless and completely and utterly dead. James congratulates himself on a job well done!

On the other topic, I would like to say that, from an OOC perspective, there is little reason for gods having such crushing upkeep. The devils may not have as many worshippers(and Azaroth actually has more) but their boost from ratings puts them far above the gods. As is, every single god has less income than upkeep. Every. Single. God.

Also, I got pantheon income?

So...we've got Usael, an air force, fireproof shock troops, and a bunch of infantry, dead and alive. Now all we need is a way to get there, and ideally some heavy hitters. (I'd send the Eladrin, but they just had kids.)

Agreed. If this upkeep is still happening when I go to sleep, I'm probably going to come in as a fae.

What use is a shiny new temple to the God of Law if there is no God of Law?

Build temples to Draco.

We don't want our bookkeeper to fall asleep...

We probably can't change our supernatural type.
On the subject of temples, what would everyone say to a temple for everyone In Avalon?
Basic Idea: everyone pitches in with something minor, space is left for new Powers, and there can be a special little altar for people to make rude gesture at a depiction of celestia.

We might very well be able to defeat most enemies but compared to gods and devils, we fae can be killed much more easily so I'd much rather send in a large army then go in myself.  You also have to keep in mind, we do not yet know the extent of power that this enemy has.  If they have the ability to take energy from departed souls, then there is a good chance whatever it is, is quite powerful.  Maybe the GM decided to go a similar route as in the New God Thread and make void monsters.  Also if I do for some reason have to actually be present in the fight, then at the very least I'd like to have a substantial army backing me up and have knowledge about the enemy.  Even with all that, direct combat would be a last resort than a first choice.

I'll have to look at the power chart again...

How powerful is a Fae courtier compared to the Average Mortal again?
