This seems acceptable. What exactly do you mean by trading on a per-turn amount?
You trade me your solar cell research from this turn for my solar satellite research from last turn. Next turn, I resume satellite research to continue trading for your solar cells, until one of us calls it off.
Admittedly I'm likely come out ahead in research due to your electronics expert, but you've decided on a fairly strict deadline for getting the satellites, and I assume you'd rather not focus purely on satellite research for the next few turns.

The global prosperity events are one-time bonuses, based on our income.

My problem is I didn't seem to get any prestige for completing my goal of a radio transmitter in space.
Yup, one time boni.

Dammit, forgot that.

In that case I think we are just missing racnor's turn. Also 10ebbor10, can I still upgrade my rocket factory to reduce the cost of design actions?

But that wouldn't be fun.....

Alter it to give you a bonus to designing the rocket

I got a decent roll, and got a 1% failure rocket, which can hold several hundred pounds of force
(~300)

Just saw one of your posts that I missed.....
No maximum throttle for me!!!....... Yet.....

Unless I want to blow up my rocket.......

Muuuuuust overthrottle rooooooockets!!!
Anyone wanna sell me some payloads?

Also Niruir, I'm not sure if your rocket can even lift itself off from the ground.....
It's like a tank, that can fly(but not really, because its 500 pounds overweight)

Actually, google docs is a much better solution. Browser based, automatically saves every change to the cloud, and easier formatting.

Turn 4 : 1949-1950

Solar flares are predicted for the next year, and the increased solar activity is followed by observatories worldwide.

SPACE

Research:
Lab 1 will improve the reliability of the small thruster further, and improve the fuel efficiency if reliability is maxed out (-$1000)[Progress is slow]
Lab 2 will develop solar cells that can operate in space with the help of the Electronics Expert (-$1000) [Much progress is made, though not at much as there could’ve been.]
Research costs: $2000

Design:
None this year.

Production:
1 Radio transmitter satellite (-$500)
Production costs: $500

Missions:
Launch the improved Arrow I with the satellite to fulfill our promise. Use Lobbyist ability on this launch. [The launch is succesfull, but only because of the last minute adjustements made to the rockets. Nevertheless with some clever PR tricks it turns into a stunning succes. +15 Prestige (crit)]

Other:
Announce that SPACE will launch a long-term communications satellite within 4 years. [Announcement made. +4 prestige]
Trade fuel tank research for fuel power research with Nirur Torir (up to the minimum of [0.90] and wherever Nirur Torir's standard fuel tech is)
Trade results of this years solar cell research for the solar powered comms satellite with Nirur Torir, unless research this year is unsuccessful.

Total costs: $2500

NASA (Japan)

No turn

PCIS Turn 2

TURN:
Research:
Me: Engine, safety + thrust (-1000$)[Serious progress is made, though increased complexity will double costs from now on]
Lab 1: Research probe (-1000$)  [Little progress is made]

Launch:
Gather dataregistering devices and cameras, launch the TS-1 prototype. Try to learn as much as possible from the launch. If launch goes well inform the press and military, if not keep quiet about it. [The launch is a stunning succes, gathering some prestige]

Totals: -2000$

PSI

No turn

SMF Turn

Turn:
Research:
Me:(-1000) Improve fuel efficiency with the medium thruster [Progress is slow]

Design:
Alter design so that lighter hull is introduced [UPDates are automatic]

Construction: Peregrine mk2{using new lighter hulls}(-800) [Unneeded]

Have a meeting with the Militaries of many Nations, to show them the launch of my Peregrine; and propose it's use as a Surface-To-Air Missile [The millitary is not interested in a surface to air missile that can’t be aimed properly, and is more likely to end up in space than into an enemy plane. Also, it’s a tad large]

Other: Trade off medium engine schematics to FIEE for [1.00] of lighter hull and $500
Promise: By 5 years, will have photos of Earth from space [Few people believe you. +2 prestige]

Summary:(-1300)

Research:
1st floor: Improve liquid fuel ($1000) [A new high energy density fuel was developed, but in the end it turned out to be just a little to volatile to be useable. (2000 repair costs)]
2nd floor: Make medium engines safer and repair the lab ($2100) [The explosion of the floor below is rather annoying for the researchers, and little progress is made ]
3rd floor: (Chassis Scientist) Decrease weight of reentry capable hull. ($1000) [Decent progress is made]

Design and Production:
-$2000 [Lowest priority if financing problems] [Decided to drop this]

Courrier
Height: 10m
Weight: 2700kg
Thrust: 2.15 * 1000 * 1.05 = 2257
Payload to orbit: Cannot enter LEO
Failure chance:
Survival chance:
Cost: 750? 850?

10m Reentry capable hull (10 * 150kg = 1500kg)
1m Medium Engine (200kg) [CANCEL DESIGN IF 2M]
8m small fuel tanks (8 * 125kg = 1000kg)
1m payload space

Missions:
None

Construction:
None

Other:
Trade with SMF: Get medium thrusters (start of turn) for [1.00] of lightened hull and $500.
Technology Trade with SPACE: Improved fuel (end-of-turn) for better small fuel tanks, equal research progress. If I fail, [0.55] for [0.55]. If I do well, up to [0.90] for [0.90].
Technology Trade with SPACE: Solar satellites for end-of-turn solar cell research if he doesn't fail.

Total expenses:
-$4600 (-rocket, +1000 not spent on last turn's research)

Promises

FIEE: Radio transmittor by the end of 1951 [fulfilled ]
          Reentry capable rocket by 1955
SPACE:Radio transmittor by the end of 1951
PCIS:- Succesfull guidance system assisted launch by the end of 1950 [DONE]
         - Succesfull scientific probe in LEO by the end of 1953
NASA: Photos from space by the end of 1955
SMF: Photos from space by the end of 1955 [High reward]
