Mission 2, Turn 1- Please Excuse the Turbulence.
As they aerospace craft rockets through the atmosphere, you all wait in anticipation of the drop. After what seems an eternity, you finally hear over the speakers, "10 minutes from drop zone," the robotic voice piercing through what little conversation is going on. Five minutes later, the ship starts to turn, just as a warning echoes throughout the ship, "Please brace yourselves for evasive action."
What follows is a corkscrew ride unlike any amusement park ride ever invented, only the shock gel of your drop pods holding you in place, though the dives and looping spins aren't doing any good for your stomachs. You can hear the sounds of scorching metal and exploding anti-air missiles just outside the transport, but you aren't slowing down.
After what feels like an eternity, but is only in reality about one minute, a harsh beeping tone starts to ring out through the drop bay, with a dull voice repeating 'missile impact imminent', giving you a half-second warning before the ship shudders as if hit by a massive hammer, the door to the drop bay springs open, revealing a devastated corridor, cold, smokey outside air rushing into the room. The transport starts to bank in an attempt to compensate for the loss of control, but just then the ship shudders again, a deafening noise right outside the drop bay. The walls buckle and the air starts to scorch as time seems to grind to a halt, fire racing towards you as the walls rend and shrapnel rushes towards you, sitting unprotected in the open pods.

And you drop, the pods cycling their doors closed even as the latches release and the explosion flings you all planetward, tearing through the air for no more than a second before crashing into the unrelenting ground at well over Mach 3.
Aren't you glad drop pods are made for that?
A minute or so later, you the doors of your drop pods cycle back open and you clamber out, one by one, the drop pods beginning to quietly self-destruct following your exit, falling apart into constituent molecules and the like. As you all grab your gear and strike out East towards your predetermined meeting point, you take a good look at your surroundings. The forest looks like a relatively standard forest, putting aside the furrows that your drop pods dug in the earth, alongside those of teams past. In the distance, not too far to the north, you can just make out a clearing and the barely glimmering lights of the city. Your target.
After about thirty minutes of walking through the forest, you come to the meeting point you decided on, checking to make sure everyone is present before taking a seat for a minute to rest and plan out your next move. You're all here, and so is your gear. Let's get moving.

Also, sorry if I didn't really articulate your plans in this post, but I felt that I might want to give you guys time meet up and figure things out post-landing, because your arrival wasn't exactly quiet, though your drop pods certainly made less ruckus than the transport. And yes, your team is not exactly the first to try and take this, and in fact were preceded a few months ago by a larger team.))

Description: A stocky 4.9 female with ash black hair, a stocky boxers build, pale blue eyes and a cute nose. Her hair is tied into a short ponytail with a red ribbon, and the fringe touches her neck. Identifiable quasi-human, with dark green skin pigmentation but no other major physical changes. Extensive tattooing on her face, neck and body-repeating geometric symbolism of unknown purpose.
Aethla would describe herself as a gun for hire-albeit, a charming, intelligent, unique looking one-with a knack for getting the highest paying jobs for the least amount of work. It was not entirely rare for her to have played bodyguard in her past work, with quasi famous individuals looking to have something exotic watching over them. She is usually more often hired for her specialist skills than her general combat ability, and was until recently, a freelancer of a sort. Unfortunately, her 'live in the moment' philosophy tends to drain bank accounts and accrue debt, and now she is working with Mecriocorps for the moment, at least partially against her will. Her physical and history specs are mostly kept in the shadows-she's only just considered human, and seems to have an Religious and spiritual edge that motivates her, though it doesn't seem to burden her moral much-except for a hesitancy to needless killing. She seems to enjoy fine foods, and is in fact, quite a good cook-when anyone deigns to ask.
