How heavy sci-fi is it?
Not that much. FTL, lasers, high-tech rifles, body armor, but no force fields.
So its hard sci-fi?
... Um.... It's whatever-makes-sense-to-Doomblade Sci-Fi.

Examine the status of my fortress. Look for anything I missed, like a caged FB or a soap maker mage or something. Use it to try and drive the goblins off.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Elron peeks over his fellow Sniper's Shoulder, and tries to help, despite never having played the game.
[3] While you're able to remind him to get his dwarves some new clothes, it's not really relevant at the moment, not to mention that he doesn't really want your help.

test effectiveness of pommel taser, zap gwg and borrow his computer unless he is capable of explicitly saying no.
If successful play his game and dig deeper.

[1+1v2+2], [3v5] Well, you know for sure that it works, because Simon just tried to jammed it into your gut when you took a swing at him. While you managed to move to avoid most of the blow, you could still feel a good-sized jolt from the close call.

So are they planning on briefing us or are they just going to keep us locked up in this room for the rest of our lives?

((Oh. I wasn't bugging you, just talking, y'know. But we're on a ship?! :O The first mission was so normal that I completely forgot this game was sci-fi.))
Leave room. Look around for a directory or a terminal or something. Figure out how the ship is laid out.
You wander around for a bit. The ship is pretty standard configuration- bridge in the core of the ship for protection, then storage/utilities/company-related stuff, then living quarters on the outside. Unfortunately, before you can get too far, your wrist-computer lets you know that you're wanted back at the briefing room.

[4] After pushing away the efforts of others to 'help', you finally manage to block the goblin's progress into your fortress, and are starting to call up the reserves to deal with them. Unfortunately, you're cut off by the announcement of a briefing, and have to save and quit.

so i take it i cant have 2 clips of primary incendiary ammo to replace the two clips that would have gone to my pistol if i hadn't swapped it for a sword?

Extra sights are, but each weapon gets 1 free. Do you want to drop the infared scope or the ironsights?

Interim Turn 3- IT LIVES!

The officer returns to the front of the room, face still set in the same stony expression you saw not too long ago. Fiddling with a remote for a second, he pulls up a map.

Before any of you can ask why there's so little on the map, the man cuts you off. "The map is so sparse because if we try to get any meaningful data about the site, we either get our sensors jammed or our aircraft shot down. But that's not important right now. Your job is to infiltrate the city, find the command, and take them, dead or alive, disabling communications along the way. The reason we're asking you to do this is because the nation that hired us is having a very hard time getting through the front lines, and if we can take out a major command center, it should make their lives somewhat easier. There's also a secondary objective, which will be revealed to you upon landing. Now gear up- we're sending you in via remote plane and dropping you in, seeing as how we figured that would be the best way to avoid detection. You'll have to get moving the instant you land, so think up what you want to do beforehand. Also, there is a guard perimeter around the city, so be careful. We don't like having to send in multiple teams. It costs too much money.

Not a minute after the briefing, Stark decides to lick the pommel taser on his sword. After the initial gibbering and shock, he drops unconscious, dropping into a lovely dreamland of puppies, bunnies, rainbows, and... fire-breathing dragons with giant riders? Oh gog.

One hour later, you're all strapped into the drop pods, Stark still mumbling in his stupor (geared up thanks to an orderly), on your way down to the city. What are you going to do when you get there?
