The battle took a few minutes, and one ninja died due to Retirony.

Giant resumes post, and i summon a unit of pirates on a ship.

The unit and a half, minus one, of ninjas attacks the pirates. As all Mortal Enemies have equal strength per unit, as stated on Page 29 of the Enemies are Fun Core Rulebook on Enemies, the ninjas defeat the pirates.

Forgot to factor in, the ninjas are on land, and Air trumps Sea, Sea trumps Land, and Land trumps Air.

Not including the conservation of ninjitsu rules that are invoked when ninjas are present in number.

EDIT: Also, too manyy thigns have arrived by sea. One more and the Sheeple are entitled to summon Poseidon to end the tide of things in excahnge for a newborn.

I believe you are forgetting something, though. Under the rules of the Core Rivals Rules, 8th Edition, the vikings see the pirates as rivals, launching a sea assault on the pirate ship at the same time as the ninjas. And since Vikings have a bonus to sea assaults, this turns the tide in the favor of the ninjas.

But they have cannons, effectively canceling the viking's bonus to the fight. Also, my giant can attack from the land, giving me the Pincer Tactics bonus.

The cannons are accounted for, and even with the "trumps" the almost-50% numerical advantage wins. I crunched the numbers. Granted, there's only a few ninjas left.

Due to the Law of Inverse Ninja Strength, your ninjas work better when alone, so therefore, they actually lost in the battle when trying to work together

But as their numbers dropped, they grew stronger, resulting in there only being a few of them left.

Yes, but then the other side decreases in numbers, leading to a increase in skill, as the laws work for both sides once called. Therefore, it shoudl stalemate until only one of each is left, which plays out at normal bonuses for the whole.

But they specialize in stealth, and the pirates can see them coming, giving them a negative (Unfamiliar Tactics)

Pirates don't use nijitsu, and therefore don't benifet from laws thereof. And I crunched the numbers, guys. If I hadn't already thrown away my math I'd show it to you.
