No, you don't. That's why I mentioned the Guy selling 4 Ships at the Shipyard arm.

Figured.
I suppose resolving that issue should be our next course of action.

Make a note of the engineer's ship in whatever future-y PDA thing I've got(or, alternatively, a notebook(but that's less cool)), finish the drink and head on down to the shipyard.

Head down to the arm with the military garison and locate the armory, preferably with an attractive single female clerk...

(( One thing I forgot to add earlier, he has a Synthflesh coating to make him look like any other human. ))

You Copy down the advertisement from the board, and head on down to the place the ships are being sold.

I buy the guns, and head down to the shipyard.
-20 Credits, +Ventrauss Rifle, +Navy Marauder X2

Head down to the arm with the military garison and locate the armory, preferably with an attractive single female clerk...
You attempt to gain access to the Military Garrison. (Roll to Avoid Being Seen: 4/6 Required. 3.) The Guards notices you as you walk up to the front gate, And tell you to leave.
====
The man selling the ships says he has 4 ships. They Are:
  • A Privateer-class Gunship. Has a big enough Storage bay to hold at least 20 tons of scrap, or maybe a captured fightercraft. - Costs about 400 Credits.
  • A Dwarf-class Mining ship. Comes equipped with a very inefficient refinery, 5 Mining drones, and a cargo space for about 15 tons of raw materials. - Cost: 300 Credits
  • An old Babylon-class Corvette, Equipped with all the fixings. Drone facilities? Yep. Laser and Kinetic Batteries? Of Course. Hold Space for 35 tons of scrap? Yeah. Cost: 700 Credits
  • A Fancy ship, not equipped with weapons, or other tech. Just a fast engine. Probably for rich people who want a useless ship. - Cost: 1000

Smile politely and request to be escorted to the CO or requsitions officer.
The guards look at you oddly for a moment, and then one of the 3 heads into the garrison itself, coming out with a Older looking man, wearing a uniform adorned with many rows of badges.
"Alright, what seems to be the matter? You need something, Citizen? There's no job opening here in our little ah... Cantonment. Are you in to report some crime?"
===
Meanwhile, at the shipyard, the Salesman notes the apparent interest in the babylon corvette.
"Ah.. A good ship, is it not? Main Corvette type of the Alliance Navy for 23 years. Very reliable, too."

(( Note: The total amount of money the group has is just 10 credits off from being the 700 required credits to buy the Babylon class. This may be a problem. You'll probably be able to bargain with him somehow.))

Ask if the salesman has anything he needs done and if doing that could bring the price down a hundred or so.

Respond

"I'm curious, I'll shortly be working from a ship in this area so I decided it would be a good idea to get to know the man who controls the security forces in the area.
I also wanted to enquire if you have any old equipment you need to get rid of.

He looks around, watching the large bulkheads separating the private hanger from the other ones.
"I... May have a job for you to handle. You see, I made a few deals with the wrong people. The Palaro Family. They would handle acquire things I'd need for me. Turns out, they have ties with... With the Coalition. They didn't like my response to that knowledge. I reported them to the Military Police. Must have caused some problems way up high in the chain of command. But now, I think I might have someone following me. They must have sent an assassin. Please, figure out who it is, and I will not just give you a Discount of 200 Credits, but I will give you some of the artifacts I have gathered throughout my dealings with the Palaros."

"
The Requisitions Officer smiles slightly, and motions for you to follow him. He leads you to his office. He hands you a package.
"A Gift. Open it once you get to the hanger section. It's an Adjutant Droid. Bought it off of a Man I know. He works in several types of business, with all sorts of people. He told me to give it to the first person who asked for something from me. I'm sure it will be... Helpful."
After he hands you it, he leads you back outside of the Cantonment, and waves goodbye, grinning slightly for some reason, as if he won the lottery for some reason.

((You don't need to input a Respond command. Just typing up your side of the Conversation will work. Probably will be easier that way, especially if we have people roleplaying Conversations between each other.))

"Hmm. Really now... Well, assuming none of compatriots disagree, we'll take the job. Now, do you have any information that'll help us with this at all?"
