how to get animals out of cages
« on: November 25, 2007, 08:11:00 am »

I recently purchased a tame jaguar from the elven caravan, and want to train it to a war-jaguar

however, I find myself unable to get the jaguar out of the cage

same goes for a caged mule and a caged deer, which i want to slaughter

Build the cage with b->j and selecting the appropriate one holding the jaguar/mule/deer. Once it has been built--like any other piece of furniture--select it with q, then [a]ssign. In that menu, deselect the jaguar/mule/deer to release it from the cage.

This is also the case for when they bring you otherwise useless corpses.
That happens a lot in the glaciers.

Can't make any animals but dogs into war or hunting variants.
