I see myself sitting and for some reason I want to sit on myself.

I realize that's a little too insane as I lose my balance, and try to stand up, but instead slam my head against the table.

The world goes black for an undetermined period of time.


I wake up again and try to plead with my voices: as usual,

O.K. voices.  Try not to tell me to do crazy stuff, or convince me that things are there.

That's my name, John Madden -- just like the football player, though I couldn't see if we were related on Ancestry.com's free version.

Holding my breath is a bit too hard, so I start to breathe again.

There is a chair over there, I think I'll sit in it. 

This may have been a poor decision in that I am handcuffed to the hospital bed.  I discover this as I am yanked off of my feet and fall on my posterior.  Now that I'm down here, I'm twisted up such that I can't get up.  There is something beeping in the background.

As long as I'm unable to get up I'll make a pyramid out of the sheets.

Ow.  moving like that hurts I guess I'll stop making a pyramid.  Yup not building a pyramid.

A nurse comes in and helps me up as she asks my name.  "It's John Madden,"  She looks at the charts and seems satisfied with that answer so asks my birth date.
