Good 3DS games (or soon to be released ones)
« on: December 26, 2012, 10:58:34 am »

So, I'd been considering getting one, since I had the money for it from christmas. But I wanted to ask you guys if there was anything particularly interesting on it (besides the obvious ocarina of time one, and a couple mario games) that I cant already play on my DS Lite.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Pokémon Conquest is quite interesting if you're into either Pokémon or Nobunaga's Ambition. It's a spinoff of the first and an introduction to the other.

Technically not a 3DS game, though.

I'm biased as I always love the series, but there IS Harvest Moon New Beginnings on the 3DS that looks pretty good.

Etrian Odyssey 4, yeah, and Shin Megami Tensei 4 too, which both have been said.

I think there's also another Persona coming out.

I got A New Beginning and it's really awesome. The title is warranted and it feels like a sincere attempt to bring the series back to its roots. The only thing I'm not liking is the drawn out tutorial but it's still blowing any of the recent DS titles clear out of the water.

Been playing Liberation Maiden off the eShop. It's not terribly long but it's a lot of fun as a mecha shootemup. It's also like $6

Oh yeah, that's probably worth it. I mean, how many games let you play as the female Japanese president of Japan out to free it from evil in a mecha? It's like Metal Wolf Chaos but less narmy!

As for already released stuff:
Mario 3D Land isn't bad.
Mario Kart is more of the same so if you liked the others it's worthwhile.
Ghost Recon Shadow Wars is a surprisingly okay turn based tactics game.
Zelda Ocarina Of Time is worth a play.

I've also been playing some Tales of the Abyss but I can't tell if I like it so far. The characters are grating on me and I don't know if the world is going to open up further along.
