A planetarium projector (fuckin wow!) - no replication for going outside at night, but very useful during the day I suspect. Will come in handy in work.

A friend of mine just gifted me Deus Ex:GOTY. This is the second time this friend has gifted me something, so I bought him DMC 4. I don't want to feel like a complete piece of shit.

Biggest items were an external hard drive (thank goodness, only have 4GB of free space on my main computer), a personal size coffee maker, and a few pony shirts.  There were a fair few smaler items as well.  All in all I'm very pleased.

My parents always spend way too much on us, and it makes me feel kind of awkward.   :-\  We did reciprocate for the most part though, and got our dad a new laptop and our mom this nifty carpet cleaner thing she's wanted for a while.

So far I have gotten $255 and a $15 Skyline gift card. I think this lack of actual gifts means I'm going to stop getting things on Christmas soon. Damn you, adulthood!

One may discount socks as a running joke or meme on this forum, but socks are really useful. They wear out, and must be replaced regularly. The more socks, the more clean socks one can wear, and one certainly wishes to wear clean socks. It's a glorious feeling, while wearing recently-worn socks is not.

Yeah, I actually got socks. And it was a good gift. all of my old socks have giant holes in them. I'm going to learn how to darn socks.

I got socks and tea, and that was good enough for me. (rhyming.)

Shirts, socks, tickets to a concert, some other assorted stuff, gift cards, candy, but most importantly a new computer.

Also nerf guns.

Corsair K90 Keyboard & M60 Mouse
8 GB Ram
A bar of some weird goat milk soap that sounds like it should help with my eczema, so actually kinda cool
$20 Steam gift card

Quite happy.  My old mouse & keyboard were driving me insane.  New keyboard will take some getting used to.  Haven't used a mechanical keyboard since I was like 10 years old.  I can see why people like them, though.  I feel like I can type faster on this thing, even when I'm nowhere near used to the feel of it.  I only wish the keys weren't so tall.  The mouse feels dreamy.  Amazing for a $40 mouse.  And I can already tell Corsair's driver software is way better than Razer's.

Hunnerd bucks. Twenty's going into a online-capable gift card, rest is probably going to be snack money for the next... (runs some numbers) three months. Or longer. Given history, probably longer. Depends on how often I get the snack urge.

Eighty bucks of someone else's money to spend on impulse munchies is quite the psychological balm, heh.
