Wow, you made Pokemon suspenseful and exciting. I will be watching this closely. Love the art, btw.

Definitely better indeed!

Maybe you should consider getting some of these onto deviantArt, as your illutration is already better than some 70% of what I have seen over there, and there are also some good examples of this type of drawing.

Still working on a rad title image. I figure I have time. My friend that was beating Black 2 misinterpreted the directions for activating Challenge Mode and now has to beat the game again to do that.  ::) In the meantime, I'll be preparing art. Hope to start by Thursday, if all goes well.

I will be on my DS, because my laptop is terrible at emulating DS games. There will be few screenshots, but important battles will be illustrated.

I'm now imagining Quagsire with Bullet Seed. Now that would be a strange type combo. :o

Y'know, I'd rewrite rule 2 if I were you. I dunno if there's a safari zone or an equivalent in the game, but if  there is, nothing'd stop you from farming mons there, seeing how it's not a route. Well, except for the cost of pokéballs, perhaps.

That's just being pedantic. Route, area, zone, same thing. I've always interpreted it to mean one Pokemon per reasonably-sized catching area. In HeartGold, I only got the one Gastly in the sprout tower, only the Dratini from Goldenrod, only one Zubat from Dark Cave... et cetera. That means only one Pokemon per Safari Zone. (Of which there is only one, if any.)

It's more about the spirit of the thing. I trust myself to not abuse rules that I make. If I catch two Pokemon in two areas determined by the readers to be one big area, I'll fix that.

And here's a sneak peek at the cover art I've been working on for about a week:

Spoiler: My intended starter (click to show/hide)
More accurately, I'll be starting with a Bagon. I will have two friends play the parts of additional rivals as we all progress through the game together, and they are starting with a Dratini and Deino respectively.

"But Salamence is so overpowered!" I hear you saying. And that's kinda true... after level 50, at which point I'll be at the Elite Four already. The challenge will be in getting the absolutely terrible Bagon to level 30 so that it can evolve into the rather mediocre Shelgon. At this point it'll be a matter of holding on for another 20 levels... and then hellfire shall rain from the sky.

The battles with my human rivals will be the only battles regarded as 'not counting' for losing Pokemon. Unless I get cocky, in which case I will totally count them. Should be pretty interesting, what with the other pseudo-legendary dragons as rival starters.

Spoiler: Rival Starter #1 (click to show/hide)
That's Ivan the Dragonite. Dragonite is very powerful now in BW2, and might be an extreme danger to my Salamence. Too bad he'll have to struggle through 20 levels of only knowing Wrap as a Dratini.  :P

It is seriously difficult to find references pictures of a Hydreigon doing anything interesting. They just kinda float around. If anyone has a screenshot from the show or a movie (or even fanart) that shows a Hydreigon breathing fire, flying quickly, clawing something, et cetera, there is a bounty. I will either draw you something else (just for you!) or involve you in the Let's Play somehow. Perhaps you can name a Pokemon of mine. (And species, I suppose. I'll look for one, but remember that I'll be unable to catch white-exclusive Pokemon.)

Dratini learns Twister at 11 and Dragon Rage at 15.

Dratini's Twister is pretty mediocre, although I guess it's nice at L11. Dragon Rage, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of soloing every trainer encounter until ~L25-ish.  :o

Bagon's moveset is more reliable - Bite at L5 will be amazing, then Headbutt at L16. Sadly, you won't learn a single dragon move until L32, assuming you evolve at 30. Dratini's Twister is going to hurt until then.

Let's just hope you catch a decent Ice-type before either of your rivals!

Holy crap, I last trained a Dratini in Gen3 when they learned Dragon Rage at 22.  :o That's going to be killer. Luckily Salamence ends up quite a bit faster than Dragonite, so maybe I can murder him before he murders me. Or I have some other Pokemon do it. ((Type triangle starters are silly compared to a DRAGON-DRAGON-DRAGON trio.))
