Dear diary,
I am Mindy Hope. I am 24 years old now, but still look like a teenager. I guess having glasses as thick as a champagne bottle base don't help... My life has been crap. The day I was born in 1984, the Mac Intosh was introduced. That was the first sign I was a nerd I guess.
When I was bad, and by that I mean anytime I did not wanted to do something I hated, or failed to clean the house properly, my father lectured me endlessly, trying to make me think like him.
In elementary school, I was the class clown, I made everyone laugh with my imitations of adults. I even had some friends.
When I turned 10, my parents divorced. Mom slept with the divorce lawyer. I guess she didn't find another way to get away from my father...
In junior high school I was into chemistry. I wanted to know what made the world tick. And it was way easier to understand and predict than humans.
Things were getting really bad when I stole my first car. I got a few blocks before I totalled it. I needed that to feel alive...
Well, I knew it had reached a crescendo when I stole a cop car when I was only 14. I went to juvie for 6 month. If it had happened now, I would have had the death penalty...
I was only 15 when I ran away and let people pay me for sex. I needed the money to survive. Surprisingly, it was better than life home... And I got my hands on my first video games. I didn't knew how fun these thing were before!
Life went on. On my 18th birthday, I got my hand on a sports car. Boy, the owner must have been pissed! Then again, he was dumb enough to let the keys in the ignition. That's were I found some broken Japanese doujinshi games CDs, and one that miraculously survived, Embodiment Of Scarlet Devil, along with a note about stopping kids from playing foreign games. The guy probably voted to create the Firemen. Well, that's when I became a Touhou nerd.
For the past few years, I've been surviving alone, just like everyone else, seeing the USA become an ultra repressive arch-conservative country. Well, it's not like I can do anything about it now... and seeing how I will soon be arrested and executed (I own Touhou doujinshi and old D&D games, both of which are forbidden materials, and seeing that every crime is punished by death now...), or die from the excessive pollution, I might as well get a date, and have fun pretending to be an Ordinary Magician before dying...
