My son, many speak of the honor in war.
My preferred method is to wait until their back is turned, then impale them with a pike held by someone else.
Preferrably from a distance.

What would it be like to live in a world that was copy/pasted? Would we even notice? If not, how many times have we switched celestial harddrives or whatever?

"Honey, let's NOT flood the fortress with our progeny."

-snicker- Ahhhh, the Abyssink...

Hm. Aha. Let's see.

"What? You want me to take my pick and go stand in the middle of the checkerboard you dug out right above the candy cane? How about HELL NO."

Lielac likes adamantine, magnetite, marble, the color olive green, battle axes, cats for their aloofness, dragons for their terrible majesty, women for their beauty, and the Oxford comma for its disambiguating properties. When possible, she prefers to consume pear cider and nectarines. She absolutely detests kobolds.

"There was a troll down that hallway! I'd better go to the other food stockpile. It's farther away, but it wouldn't make sense for me to keep trying to go down that way, especially if I would just have to run back to where I started."

Even if you found a suitable opening, I doubt it would prove all too satisfying. And it might leave some nasty wounds, depending on the moral high ground's geology.

Baffler likes silver, walnut trees, the color green, tanzanite, and dogs for their loyalty. When possible he prefers to consume beef, iced tea, and cornbread. He absolutely detests ticks.

"As king of Dwarves, I have a duty to lead my people responsibly. Enough with these frivolous demands."
"AAAHH-- Oh, it's just a giant rabbit. Nothing scary about that, back to woodcutting."
"Immigrate to a gods-forsaken hellhole in the worst environment on the planet and probably get killed by goblins? No no no, fuck that."

Bathing these wounds with the alcohol in my flask might help to prevent possible infection till I can get this stitched up...

"You know, even though my best friend just died and I don't have the best room or life, the whole fortress was just under-siege and is still going through rough times so throwing a tantrum probably won't solve anything."
