How can I make a small mountain?
« on: December 20, 2012, 10:37:57 pm »

I want to generate a mountain less than one square large. Hopefully about 3x3 map small embark map squares big, with lots of metals. How could I generate such a small mountain?

I suggest that we add a clause permitting the keelhauling of anyone who suggests a plan involving "zombify the crew".

You could try messing with the Configuration Tokens in Advanced World Generation, then examine the map more closely before embarking. If you hit tab on the screen where you pick your embark zone it will change modes. If you change to the elevation viewing mode and look for one square of extreme hills surrounded by relatively flat squares, you should find what you're looking for.

This should help: http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/Advanced_world_generation#Configuration_Tokens
