Flash sale for Fallen Enchantress, I think I might grab it, although I'm not entirely sure if I won't regret it.

Also, daily sale for Civ V. Worth it?

Is it just me or the Steam store is really unstable right now?

It usually seems that way during major sales. Guess the servers must be busy.

I think it may depend on whether you played the earlier installments, really. I've started playing at V and am moving backwards myself, and I enjoy the shit out of Civ V (except for the 'how about you give me your EVERYTHING, derp?' AI).

It's very user-friendly in terms of UI (though that's comparing it with Alpha Centauri, so the bias is heavy in this one) and has a nice, Art Deco-ish look and while perhaps not as hardcore as previous Civs, the gameplay is quite pleasant.

EDIT: I see what you did there, Steam. Apparently the flash sales are set up to repeat the daily sales chronologically (i.e. the one before that had Age of Empires series, now GTA), so if you missed one of them, you might have another chance.

I've heard nothing but negativity for this, how did you find it?

I heard it got much better than it was, specially if compared to Elemental. It's not quite great from what I hear, at least not yet, but I've heard it's a pretty decent game nowadays, as long as you don't expect some genre defining/changing game.

Tropico 4 flash sale 80% off (about 20 for everything) for the next couple hours.

This deal has returned. Anyone one else purchasing it?

And regarding Civ5, I play Civ1-4 and I still like Civ5. I don't really like unit stacking that was present in previous Civ games and I do like the ranged combat mechanics and hexagonal grids in Civ5. Plus Steam Workshop is awesome.

Why get GTA when you could get Saint's Row the Third instead?

Okay, it's time to start pointing out the hidden treasures of the sale — the good games with good discounts that didn't make it to the first page.

I'll point out Botanicula at 75% off.  It's just a Flash point-n-click explorer, but it has heart.  Try out the demo here, right in your browser.

What do you think's good?

Because SR3 doesn't know *&^% about the 80's.

this is a list of all games under £4. Most are pretty old but there are some good deals in there.

Far too many to cover them all but a few examples, Toki Tori at 90% off, Dungeons of Dredmor at 75% off, THe S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games at 50% off(note if you are going to buy Call of Pripyat and one of the other two, buy the other one first seperately, as you will then recieve a 75% discount.)

Did the Indie Gala 8 bundle get a drawing yet? I don't remember seeing it, but I've missed a day or two on the forums :|

Whoa. Sleeping Dogs 91% off. Dude. Titanic cut. Includes most DLC. You have 24 hours.

Damnit. Shoulda jumped on it when I saw it. It's at 66% now with only a few DLC still at 91%.
