Gamerlord left, Urist McDowner and Scelly are currently debating the morality of killing someone that was about to kill someone else, and most of the people posting have the same point that, "I'd kill if it were in defense of myself or another."
Other than that, I'm not sure.

I'm still here, just lurking.

Ah, my bad. I was hoping we hadn't scared you off/offended you.

Nah, I'll jump back in when I feel interested.

Me and DZA seem to be in the borderline sociopath category.
Borderline?
Does it count as borderline if you haven't killed anyone?
I think I'm legally obliged to tell you "no."

Sociopath? I've always considered myself to be a very empathetic and loving individual...and I'll fucking gut anyone who says otherwise.

I'm not looking to make myself a full-fledged sociopath by killing someone just 'cause all the cool kids are doing it.

(Weird, my only decent family is on my mother's side. In Canada.)
Y'know, I think there's a reason for this, and it's not so weird.

It's called being Canadians.
I think we can all agree that this argument proves one thing: when people don't share your value systems, you can look at the same thing and see completely different interpretations, with no resolution.
Erm... out of curiosity, Misk, is that part of my post really part of the point you're trying to share about value interpretations?

Yes. Yes it is.

Anyway, Misk? Do I look like the capital of Belarus to you?

I'll not put my personal morals on killing here, as I have none.

Well, when you take into consideration the fact that whenever I hear the word "belarus" I see the love-child of my German teacher and a humpback whale...

Then I can neither confirm nor deny whethe you are a "B" at the current time.  I'm still recoiling from the mental image I gave myself.

It's simple, really. Killin other people is always wrong. There are no justifications. Sometimes murder may be necessary, but it remains immoral.
