The dip in the river reminded me how much of a bother it is.. it seems as if the flowing water drains away time itself. There is a lake up north, but I will need to stop for the night in order to reach it, or else risk being molested by the foul spirits of the night. I have stopped by a cave, and shall take shelter here for the night.
But first... Creatures, resembling the blessed Satyr but twisted into horrible form, pursued me. Remembering my training, I quickly put them both down with a pair of well-aimed fireballs. They are passed out and should burn to death before long. What worries me, though, is the sounds of combat I heard before they turned on me. They were fighting something else... something metallic...
I appear to have lucked out. This cave does not contain any beasts... that I can see. It extends down, far down beneath the earth, but exactly what may lie down there is an exploration for another day. For now, I barricade myself in with fires, and sleep...

Well. I appear to have made an error in judgement. I have been trapped inside this cave, as the fire will not subside. Luckily I have some pond turtle I can munch on, but if I cannot put these fires out soon, I will starve in this cave. Perhaps it would have been more dignified to take my chances with the evil spirits...
Of course. How foolish of me. The Gift of Morpheus, a spell that would come in perfect handy. Summoning a burst of aqua vitae, my isolation has ended, and I may continue north. ((OOC: NOW I know what that spell is actually good for. Holy shit. That was dumb. Being locked in a room for 3 days cause I lit campfires that wouldnt' go out. Haha, haha, no.))
Upon exiting the cave and being presented with the sunlight again, I am greeted by several wolves. Well. I sure hope they like fire...
Taking a few more steps, however, presents me with a horrifying sight. Wolves, birds, several raptors, and even a forest imp and horse, all desperately fighting an animated bronze statue. It is thankfully not one of the colossi, but still looks like the kind of creature you tell stories about in hushed tones. I shall aid the wildlife by pelting it with fire from afar, but I dare not engage such a beast.
On second thought... I may not need to. As I step even further down, I see more and more raptors, some leprechauns, and even a Dire Lion. The statue has been pushed into the water, hopefully it shall rust down there. I shall be fleeing here as soon as I am far enough away.
