Surely there must be at least one group of people on this forum who feel violence isn't always the answer...and who says we can't dig already?
I'm flattered, but despite my numerous attempts my voice of sanity is always drowned out.
Everyone.

With what numbers? At what losses?

This creature is either a natural predator of the Aero-Raptors(The birds.), or are at least capable of defending against it.

Also we shouldn't discount the possibility that pissing this thing off will result in our entire species becoming a target.

Mod Does killing enemies count towards the death's needed to respawn? If not won't that eventually kill out most players?

If it decides to kill everyone in a single turn then alot of the people will just respawn
We will kill the creature off with time

Alright, then he just spawn camps us forever since we can basically nudge him. He has teeth and claws which will shred our wimpy little gel bodies. I'm just saying let's NOT piss off the big man on campus just yet.

My thoughts on the situation depend entirely on whether we can respawn indefinately.

We can crumble mountains if yes. All it would take is time and a critical pissing off of the GM.

Right now: 2 people want to kill the badger RIGHT NEXT TO THE OVERMIND!!! Which puts at least four others in danger and might result in the Hive-mind's death. Let's wait.

I think we respawn indefinetly but I don't want to die because someone gets hot-headed and decides to mess with something that is bigger and badder than we can even comprehend at this point. If it was further away I'd be all for it because it's their life. They're threatening a good amount of us with their rash actions! We shouldn't stand for this right now. We shouldn't let others risk our lives and our overmind for an ill-thought out attack.

Then again, we may well have actually aggro'd it as soon as it saw one of us.

That may be the case. However I see it this way:

It didn't aggro seeing us: We're safe and we can leave it be.
It did aggro seeing us: We're screwed to all hell. But we can wait to find out for sure.
We attack it: We're screwed to all hell and cannot fix this.

Waiting: 1/3 we die.
Attack it: 3/3 we start getting slaughtered.

Just attack it.

Risk to the overmind is a non-issue.  He'll have to cross the pool to get to the overmind, which would probably just absorb him.  Assuming he could get past that, the overmind's lowest level is a big metal pipe, which he couldn't scratch.  By then, we could all just zerg him until he died.

I was initially going to object, but this idea struck me as awesome. Let's attack in this way.
