I think there are others worse off so I am just here to say: Mate, this is very noble of you. There is joy in giving and I hope you will blessed even more!

And to all of you hanging by the thread: You're not alone and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Giving up is a choice, but so is moving forward!
Exactly my tought, thank you for setting up such a giveaway!

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Thanks Buri! Do those Brazen Prototype keys unlock on Steam or download or what?

They do activate on Steam. :)

Bumpity bump.

I'm making this an ongoing thing since so few people have said anything. I suppose that's a good thing :)

Also, what's the best way to make this an on-going thing without bumping it all the time?

As somebody that's had like six or seven post bump chains for such prolific topics as an MMO thread and a let's play thread, and never gotten yelled at for it, I'm sure nobody would mind you keeping this bumped.  :P

Alternately you can space out game additions to the list so you actually have a reason to be posting. So instead of adding six games at once, you add one one day, and one another, and so on.

Thank you for the generosity, Anvilfolk.

I hate to say it, but we've got more to suffer through. It is going to be a very rough time, economically, politically, and socially. But the night is darkest before the dawn. Keep on keeping on, and know that in 10 years, in 20 years, in 50 years, maybe it will take 100 years, things will be better. Incredibly better. So much better, we won't understand how we stayed in the darkness for that long.

We get used to darkness. We get to the point where we feed off of darkness, we use the little light it brings to give us happiness. We just need to learn to see the light. It's going to take a while.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand, bump :)

This is going to be a continuous thing, since those games are probably going nowhere.

Thanks for the words inteuniso. I sure hope that's the case... right now it seems there are very specific ulterior motives for what's happening here. And that the idea is to make the change permanent... but we'll see. And fight it, if it's the case!

Hello everyone,

My country, Portugal, is undergoing complete economic collapse. Lots of people I know, including family, are going into unemployment. Many are over 40 and 50 and will likely never be employed again. Mostly everyone who is not getting fired is receiving massive pay cuts and punitive tax increases. An absolutely non-trivial percentage of the middle class is descending into abject poverty. More and more I see desperation, well-dressed people rummaging through garbage, often in the peak of darkness for embarrassment they might be seen, and such nervousness and duress that fistfights start for no real reason.

I try to realise what it is for such a large human population to be subjected to this humiliation for no fault of their own, but I find I cannot. I also cannot commiserate, since I am lucky not to find myself particularly affected. I can only feel the deep sadness that naturally emanates from large-scale descent into misery.

What I can do, however, is try to brighten up people's days a little. I try to help with little things, small gestures, whenever I can. Tiny, tiny things like carrying a heavy bag for someone, or helping them catch something they accidentally dropped. A smile, perhaps...

And, for anyone that's undergoing a similar situation (unemployment, disease, loss, ...), anywhere in the world, I would be honoured if you would let me offer you a game. I hope it helps you forget, even if for a little while only, the things happening to you that you cannot control.

If you care to share, I would love to hear your story, here or through PMs. This is, of course, not necessary, since it might make you uncomfortable. We will see how this goes, but I trust this wonderful community will self-regulate just fine.

Here's what this community can offer:

Steam
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (originally from Amazon)
- Metro 2033 (originally from Amazon)
- Red Faction: Armageddon (originally from Amazon)
- Red Faction: Guerrilla (originally from Amazon)
- Europea Universalis III: Chronicles (originally from Amazon)
- Magicka Collection (originally from Amazon)

- Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War (Humble Bundle, thanks Vactor!)

- The Binding of Isaac + Wrath of the Lamb DLC (Humble Bundle)
- Closure (Humble Bundle)

- Snapshot (Humble Bundle)
- Dungeon Defenders + DLC (Humble Bundle)
- Brazen Prototype x3 (Humble Bundle, thanks BuriBuriZaemon!)

Gamersgate

- Bridge It
- Eryi's Action
- Terrorhedron 3D
- Caster
- Zombies
- War of the Human Tanks
- Will Fight for Food

I think all of these should work/be giftable, but I cannot promise anything since they are mish-mash from various bundles that I've bought over the years. I apologise in advance for anything that doesn't work out. I just wish Humble Bundle would give different keys for every game. I'd have a lot more to offer...

Sorry about the long-winded message, and a big hug to all those that have been thrown a curve ball by life.

I just saw this, and I must say I'm very humbled by this and extend a heartfelt thankyou on behalf of people everywhere affected by this :)

Hi there, first thank you for doing this.

Well what to say, generally standard problem. I finished school two years ago, been working here or there for something little where I could find some job.For now it is the most time passed that I am without one for more than a 5 months, but thanks to my parent I can still afford things like internet and similar things, so its not bad as some other people. If it was bad you would probably not see me posting here at all because of no internet connection or computer. I really don't understand why you need to have good connections to get a full time job it just sucks.

If it's not a problem I would really like to play Red Faction: Guerrilla, but anyway thanks for doing something like this, this should be sticky on forum so people can see.

I have a spare key for Titan Quest (Humble bundle) if it would be of any use, if you are accepting keys to add to the list.

As of right now, I don't feel quite right taking a game (maybe that'll change, who knows?) but I want to say this is why I love bay12. The community here actually seems to care about the other members, and I can't say that too often about the internet. I like what you're doing, anvilfolk.

Dwarves passing by get good thoughts from the mist of water and exploding felines.
Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).
