Round 9 is basically over, 10 and 11 are in full progress, maybe about "halfway there" wherever "there" might be. I would be up for a casual 12th, but we should get 4-6 people or more, since some always tend to go ai/stale.

Prayers answered ;)

Do you get any commission from games sold on GG?

Lol no of course not! I'm the head of content managment worldwide, and the manager of indiefort.

Oh, I wasn't insinuating any funny business.  I'd just have made more effort to make my purchases there if I knew a bay12er profited directly from them :)

Oh well I don't, but it's my JOB. In fact the reason that DOM 3 is on there is because a fellow bay12er told me about the situation regarding the high price. So I went out and spoke with the dev personally :).

In fact, if anyone sees any indie games that they want to refer to me let me know so I can help these devs directly!

Doing good stuff, alexpoysky

So anyone up for a new Dom round, with a bit mixed up starting rules?

Starts with (several) provinces. 3 Turns of not attacking a player directly, (including the first turn). Maybe throw in a mod nation or two (Chaos united is fun, but can never last long for me, any other prefs?)

How do I get them to connect though? I'm not really all that familiar with this.

Hate to necro this, but I've started playing this again and have run into some odd situations, and I cannot find any answers as to why they is happening.

1) Sometimes my army cannot move. I have tried moving an army 4 times in a row to a province but every round I find it in the same spot. I know I can move to that province, and I know that an army attacking yours can stop it, and it's not that either. No messages about it, just not moving for multiple turns. If it matters, the province I was moving from had a fortress.

2) My god just up and died. It was a sorcerer. I got a message about a hurricane or some other natural disaster that caused starvation and whatnot and I assume he died from that, but the thing is, it was in my home province which was overflowing with my dominion. I thought your god was suppose to be able to be called back if he died in your own dominion. If not, what's the point of having a god with such low health that random events can kill him and make you lose the game?

Not sure about the first... second, though, calling back the god is an action specifically performed by critters with priest levels. Takes several turns, usually, but gets done faster the more holy levels you've got directed to it. Doesn't matter if it dies in your domain or not, though (unless the god is specifically immortal, anyway, in which case dying inside their domain just sends them back to the capital.). Just pull up the action menu on one of your priests and set it to call god.

In any case, low HP is one of the tradeoffs for low chassis cost, generally. It's especially bad if you've got low dominion strength (so the pretender isn't getting the much of a HP boost) or it's something that can get diseased without a way to avoid it (really nasty with some of the more human pretenders, when it happens, but rough all around), but, well. That's the trade off. Might not be the best of ideas to take misfortune ranks in that case, heh, or at least keep a good bit of chaff in the same province to soak up event hits. Still not a hundred percent guarantee, but...

Lastly, well, the god dying often isn't that big of a deal, especially later into a game. It doesn't have to be alive for you to win, you just lose out on a pretty powerful tool (usually, anyway.) if it happens.

There's a kind-of bug with grouped commanders where it'll seem like all of them can move to a province even if only some of them can, though that usually results in half your army arriving, so that's probably not what's happening here. If it actually says move under their portrait and then they're not, well, that's pretty darn strange.

I lost the game..... It said my god was vanquished. I owned half the map.....I'm thinking I'm going to try and reinstall it.

You probably ran out of dominion. I had that happen to me numerous times when I first started playing and I had no idea why I lost. Eventually that taught me the importance of building temples.
