2. Don't build containers in the hospital, you don't need them. The dwarfs will fetch everything they need from it's respective stockpile anyway.
Soap containers are useful, as dwarves will use stockpiled soap for nice soapy baths otherwise. Everything else can be stockpiled though, and once cloth or thread has been partially used for a patient it can't be used by the weaver or clothier.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.
