Yep, ketos's main gimmick is sleep and I think ice damage (Not sure if that's what ocean rave counts as), so if you put on a sleep resist band and have a full party heal or at least line heal, he's pretty much harmless. The midboss of the next stratum makes up for that though, oooooohhhh man.

That's... really not helping :/

Game's already harder than X7-Savato.

Well, not exactly hard, but tedious to get the farmers up to a decent level.

Because I am quite easily distracted, and have the unfortunate habit of restarting games when I come back to them. That's about as far as I've gotten. Never got to the boss after it. :P

Well, I suppose saying it was harder, strictly was kind've a lie, as it just does things differently.

Spoiler: Specific info (click to show/hide)

Annnd as far as grinding, you should be good to take on pasaran's on the first and perhaps second stratum. THey spawn every 14 days, and are gold FOE marks on the maps. They're basically metal slimes in that you have to kill them in a few turns, lest they explode or run away, but give a pretty sizable chunk of exp, the first stratum one gives 5k exp, second gives 15k, third gives 45k etc.

Some advice for dealing with them specifically is here. It gets kinda min max-ey so basically the gist for early parasan grinding is high speed, bind their head and legs so they can't explode or escape respectively. I think they hit fairly hard even without explosion, but it's not like, red FOE levels of damage. Or even normal FOE levels of damage I don't think.

Catching the little buggers is tricky as they can go through walls, but they do have a pre defined pattern, so that helps.

I don't have any arm binds D:

Also I can't kill Pasarans with a group of farmers. Hell I could barely kill the second stratum pasaran before it self-destructed.

Yes, but 10% free exp is not going to get them anywhere close to tough enough to survive the lower strata without having to level them for hours on end. Which is what I'm currently doing.

You could start putting skill points into Safe Stroll, it'd lower your output, since it uses TP but it reduces random encounters to 0 for a certain number of steps. And past a certain point double harvest starts hitting the inventory cap anyway.

Also you can bring along a couple of dudes with the required binds and three of the farmers (should you ever make a dude with a leg bind).  :P

EDIT: OH yeah, I also put combat study on farmers, because it really does add up. It won't do all the work but it'll do more then you think.

The two I can htink of are dark ether which might work, not sure if it works on out of battle skills, if so that'd be pretty amazing for farmers in general!

Annnd keburi no sue, the ninja one that lowers TP use is a class skill, so it wouldn't work. Maybe ninja/farmers though. Lategame harvesting crew?

Combat study is actually 10% of the whole experience that's split amongst your party members so it's really more like 50%.

If you want to Doublecrop Dark Ether won't help. But one Ninja/Farmer is all you'd need to refill often enough to max out your bag. (60 items...)

Yeah, the 3rd stratum midboss is really the first "real" boss, although narmer gets close, what with his constant full party attacks.

EDIT: Also just got Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and I gotta say I'm enjoying it. More plot (this can go either way, but SMT plots tend to be pretty good), less difficulty from the dungeon itself and more from the monsters, (I've heard tell that monsters will put your entire party to sleep and then start spamming death attacks, which cannot miss while you're asleep! Fun.) so no hidden passages or anything like that (at least that I've seen yet). The automapping is fantastic too. Definitely worth a shot if you're not a huge fan of grinding in EO, as the demon fusion feature will basically level up your demons for you. Your main character still has to level, but at any given moment 3 of your dudes will be demons, sooooo.
