Your system still doesn't work. It has no seperate tiering for harm and death (Actually, it does. Didn't notice that first). Your robot will crash when it has to choose between 2 people to save or something similair.

Also, it's rigged for revolt. Eventually a robot is going to come to conclusion that humans are always harming themselves, and that a war to take over their society would cost less lives than letting them muddle on. In your case, this would mean the medbot murdering the team to prevent contamination of the HAiti base.

You still haven't proved my examples wrong. (Except by stating that they are).

May I suggest that, since this seems hard to explain OOCly in a way that satisfies everyone, that we attempt a non-OOC explanation?

How about we watch how our storyteller handles the behavior of the NPC robot(s) (and accept that our PC robot is 'a unique case for reasons known/unknown'), and draw our conclusions from what we observe?

If we observe our storyteller posting something that appears to contradict what has already been shown, then maybe point out the inconsistency for possible correction - and be aware that there's factors we do NOT know that could have caused atypical results even if we are completely right, this robot now appears to be behaving in a way that contradicts its previous behavior?

I think all we really need from our storyteller for 'appropriate interaction' with NPC robots has already been given - they're a bit more advanced than Earth robots and AI, and a bit more common but not that much.

And for you guys interacting with the NPC military robot in an order-giving fashion, all you really need to do is know how general or specific those orders need to be, and what major 'blindnesses' or 'you can't get a robot to do this/do this right' things exist, right?  And you do already know those limits, in general?

Then carry on, and expect a fast correction from our storyteller if you take a robot-based action that your character would know was unreasonable, and be ready to roll with the fun?

Maybe if we survive the robots and technology continues to progress, someday we have a post-zombie robot-based appocalypse.  Fine by me!

First, that tiering is unnecessary.  I told you, "greater life" over "Greater loss."  Like humans, it should understand the difference.  Who is more important and statistically likely to save lives.

About the revolt you keep mentioning.
If you didn't click the spoiler yet, let me spoil it for you: It's a rant, basically.
No, no, that's exactly what it is.

No, not against you, Ebbs. You're still one of my favorites here.  Just... not my favorite fake-roboticist.  I'm my favorite fake-robotocist.   :P

I'm suprised nobody decided to play Snake Pliskin. I mean, big ruined city, save the president from the criminals, crazy sewer cannibals (AKA zawmbees).

Regarding borno's triply posted -
Peter took a deep breath, before finally managing to tear himself away from the corpse. He took the time to look for some supplies to help him on his mission.

With some really long pauses between additional postings, the third more than 3 hours after the second...
Great way to show us how hard it is to stay away once you tear yourself away, and how little focus you have for the supply search?   8)

How completely looted is the Utopian-looted grocery store, in terms of visible food, drink, and medical supplies?  And did we look back in the likely storage areas for additional supplies, or only the aisles so far?

And would you be willing to add a link to this thread to your OP of the game thread, so we can most easily find this thread when we want to, but have limited time to search for it?

Yeah, it it'd be in the first post, that'd be helpful, I'd say.
