Well, you guys already know what I submitted, so I don't need to reiterate it.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I might actually agree on this one, since while my design would make a good starting MANNED offensive craft, the 4 month research time means we do need a stopgap in the meantime

Thanks, ebbor.

Name: B飂rost-I (Bifrost if the GM doesn't like umlauts): For Realising Our Superior Teamwork (BIFROST) Laser Drone
Volume: Drone (5󭘲 meters)
Team: Brian, obviously; I guess whoever was working on the Occulus.
Estimated Time: I'd support either one or two months; maybe more, only if a good argument is made.
Description: A neat little drone. It look like little more than a curved rectangle attached to a normal one, with a protrusion out the front, but it is actually a capable drone. Its design is similar to the Occulus drone, and some of their parts are interchangeable. Despite this, it's a notable drone. Its armament is an OD-I Dual Laser Turret, made with cost as a main priority. This thought of economicality while still being effective has carried over into the whole drone. While they go down easily, BIFROST Laser Drones are intended to be made in large enough numbers to defend places against attack. In a best-case scenario, enough to orbit the entire planet would be deployed a d swiftly turn any invaders into laser-riddled husks. Even in smaller numbers, they can do a number on pirates. BIFROST drones can be deployed orbitally or carried on a ship. As an extra bonus, they also carry solar panels, meaning they provide a valuable service even in times of peace. The drones are spray-painted in various colors of the rainbow before the solar panels are installed. They also have lenses which other BIFROST drones can fire at to allow them to "combine" their laser into a more powerful one.
Priorities: Cash Cost 2, Firepower 1, Power Generation 1, Construction Time 1
Note: The PowerPoint or whatever presentation we use to present the concept to our superiors should include such images as a number of BIFROSTS combining their lasers into a rainbow beam which destroys a fair-sized ship, or beaming a rainbow to the surface to provide power or something. Be sure to mention the mythological significance of the name BEFORE this part.

Any suggestions or is this good?

Want me to fire up blockade runner and see if I can make this and post it?

Can't say it was. I was imagining the curved rectangle to be kinda like a rainbow. Also, that's gray.
And I need to look into Blockade Runner one of these days, both to make ships and to play.

Kinda like a rainb....oh I see what you're saying, but wouldn't that be a bit impractical for space? I mean, thet's taking the bifrost theme a little far..

Edit: Plus I don't think blockade runner supports that kind of shape since it's based off minecraft

Why would it be impractical? It's not being sprayed on the solar panels.
Stealth in space isn't actually plausible, especially with such small craft. Unless we're making it really light or dark, color doesn't really matter, and that's only for heat dissipation.

Oh well. More reason to stick to the B飂rost theme with the color.

I would also prefer the Bifrost to reuse as much parts as the Oculus. Maybe the two drones can just share a similar platform to simplify construction.

The only extra parts would be a targeting system, solar panels, a Reactor, a Altitude Control system, and obviously lasers. Everything can be just reused from the Oculus, even the frame.
