I could never get very far in it.  As soon as the baddies started shooting back I didn't have a chance.  :D

The guards with their little guns aren't that bad. Best strategy is to get beside a doorway where they can't see you, wait for them to walk up, then shotgun them in the face. Works every time.

My problem was the trio of giant robots with machine guns that popped out of nowhere. That was my latest death.
I love this game.

Oh, and if you haven't go to this link and install every single Teleglitch mod you can get your hands on (with the modloader, of course). Get Teleglitch Extended too, which you can search on Google.

Makes the game loads more fun.

Doorways, doorways, doorways. I mean, it's a blind spot in most pathing. Most efforts aren't good enough to know how to process moving through a tight space other than in a giant cluster fuck. It turns 10 guys with LOS on you into one, and when he steps around the corner, you take his face off.

Bosses are the only thing that's terminated my runs prematurely. Teleglitch really appeals to me because I think it speaks to the resource hoarder in me. Most games never reward that behavior the extent you expect; you'll always have far more than you need. In Teleglitch though, you can go through a masterfully collected stockpile in half a level. It's the kind of game you can blaze through the first few levels and think it's a pretty casual game. Until you hit the difficulty curve. Playing it slowly and meticulously is how it's meant to be played, and it makes it a drastically longer game.

Yeah, it's a combination of all those things that make me like it so much - It's a brutally difficult roguelike, it features some cool item customization and crafting, the conservation of ammo makes me feel like I'm playing Resident Evil... and those beautiful pixel-y graphics can never hurt.

The final boss is kind of a disappointment.  I ended up with no ammo and a big fat stack of useless teleports and medkits.

This game needs more fans and players.

On that note, it needs co-op. That would be a very interesting prospect, especially if there was friendly fire. :P

I should play this sometime. Got it from the roguelikes bundle from a few months back. My backlog is rather huge. :-\

You've motivated me to play it, at least. I've liked the look of it for a while, but I got it in a bundle and it's been floating in that backlog limbo.

More content? Jeez, I'm usually not horrible at these games but I recall having a very hard time getting past the second act or whatever it was. And you need to go past it in order to start form the third act too.

It's a great game though, that's for sure!

Whilst I normally hate to say this, I'm unsure of it at the current cost but at a bundle rate rate I'd snap it up.

Could someone say when if they see it on a bundle??

With enough work and polish, it could have been a forgettable flash game on Kongregate.

It's $4.32 on the Humble Store right now, FYI.

In other news, I've managed to beat the first level for the first time, then the second level destroyed me. I'm starting to remember why I never stuck with this game.
