You can find some old 200 years old houses in Europe with reeaaaally low ceilings. We got taller nonetheless.

Shortness in those, and current times has more to do with food shortages than anything. For example, statistics show that the great flood of 1953 and the following food shortage caused people to be significantly shorter. This effect takes 2-3 generations to rectify itself and return to normal size.

Soo... We can only pray for sending dwarves to our world. :(

If you want to start an underground civilization, go ahead :P

Or you know make a replicator and start having it spew out dwarves. The only problem with that is that I imagined a world were socks are everywhere and most of the civs are dead from mega projects.

I would love to join. I propose the MidWest in the U.S. only because all the unknown items haven't been discovered yet, and that will lead to much !!FUN!!

U.S will siege us seriosly fast, when they find out that we are colonize their lands. But we can always send expedition to gather these things which about you are talking.

Antartica is little too cold and no tress and no farming. But rather nobody will be pissed off and there are much of useful minerals.

I propose  one of pitcairn islands:
+ Good, warm climate
+ Trees
+ Food
+ Not very strong neighbor
- Small trade possibilities
- It's far from continents
? Water

I'm think about making individual thread about Expeditions, What you think?

I'm not too sure about islands. You wouldn't want your underground city to be swallowed up by the sea.

Hmm... True.
How we will farm? We don't know any underground plants to eat except mushrooms.

Edit: Maybe Antartica isn't so bad place...

Too deep till we hit rock, and then we would have to figure out how to get fresh water to put sediments on the rock to plant.

I wont choose Europe is the fact of all those catacombs you have under your cities is asking to die if a necro is ever present.

That is why I have chosen the Midwest because there is still enough dirt to farm underground. If done at a correct site we could set up an aquifer powered mega projects.

Although I proposed the idea, I would like to say that LOTS of people will be pissed, as many nations own the continent.

What about Russia? There are natural gas deposits to power our forges, and no-one is likely to complain if we're discreet.

Well, we would need a russian person with us in that case or risk angering the bear diplomats.

Well there's Poland.
Wieliczka is nearly a underground city so if we could infiltrate it and claim some forgotten corridors...
It techinically counts as reclaiming right?

How about the Isle of Arlyeh?
We'll have tons of FBs to worry about, but we won't have to worry about invaders.

Well you could go with africa or Australia. Both have some nice biomes which you can colonize. Japan as another possibility owns some Volcanic Islands which are free. While in antarctica you have to find a cliff to bury into Greenland has some soil and sufficiently secluded.
