I also found out why the fish skeltons even existed, a new corpse appeared, a carp one.
The current drags away the carp to the end of the river, where the water lvl is 1/7 and varying, then said fish drown

damn fishers always try to fish there, then spam cancel dangerous terrain

Yeah, I think that seed spam is a universal issue. Silly dworfs make planting difficult.

Could the dangerous fishing terrain issue be solved by assigning a fishing zone? And is there a way of making the river deeper so the fish don't die? Maybe by digging a small underneath the spot and digging upwards to create a small pond?

I did solve the fishing issue, and the drinking issue, because there was no booze
But the river death problem isnt an issue, less carp, the better!
Even solved some cavern breach issues, flying FB's suck if they get in
Making a cistern right now

It is only now that I truly see why they call you Javier Carpbane. Sounds like you're making progress on the not-getting-everyone-killed front. Keep up the fine work!

What is a cistern? And have we made that well yet?
Also, thanks for solving that seed mystery, as well as the dead fish one.  You're a hero!

A cistern is a water holding room.
I've made a well, and am making another one closer to the surface.

I feel so proud.
I've also made a loom, and a tannery
Because they are necessary.
I've made a wall and a bridge
Traded with elves(mechanisms are worth alot)
And will start up some metal making. Only ore is galena so far

Wait, you made a water holding room? I usually just make the well bucket drop into the cave, and get water from there. By the way, you're really getting stuff done. I've never even made the time to build fortress walls, bridges, or any of that stuff. How long have you been playing?

I played until midsummer
Btw we have over 150 plump helmets
Reason behind cistern is, cave water can run out sometimes
Also FB's can sneak in through Wells(I think)
A cistern fed from a river is always fresh, and controlled by floodgates
Also created giant pasture/underground tree farm
And pierced second caverns

No, I mean, how long ago did you first play DF?

Sounds good! You're doing great, Javier-san. Not one dwarf has died yet, which is unusual for a fort that I touch.

While the attention to siege-proofing and the future textiles industry is admirable, I'm most pleased about the plump helmet situation. Good luck with the metals: I'm fond of galena because it looks like gelada, and the gelada is my favourite kind of monkey.

I wouldn't jinx that yet,Fall is approaching, the active goblin season.
The trigger was 70 or 80 dwarves, and we have 70-73ish(they are popping out the babies)
So the 10-20 fisherdwarves outside the walls will be the first targets

I started playing just about 5 months ago, but had the game on my computer for about 1 year

Huh. That's about how long I've been playing. I'm still somewhat of a noob, but you sound like you know what you're doing.

Sadly I overlook many jobs, and should probably make some militia dwarves.
We have 32 idlers
and not even a hospital

But I'm decent at DF, and I might designate a moat to be dug for invaders
Stonefall traps are definitely coming in shortly, and the stone stockpile is filled

5 seconds after coming back to the fort, a goblin snatcher appears,  but right next to a hunter, and gets one shotted through the brain
