Never really tried Reborn, but I know Genesis comes preinstalled when you download it.

I assume you're referring to Genesis .11c and the Genesis Reborn mods?
I'd probably go with Reborn, though I'm not much of a mod user. Appears to present new features and surprises while staying more true to vanilla DF than the original IMO.

As of late, I've been comparing two mods, and thinking hard on which one I'd rather download. So far, I'm stuck between Reborn, and Genesis. What do you all think?

(And, on a side note .. which is easier to install?)

They both come packaged with the game, I believe... downloading both and playing them separately until you find out which one you prefer seems perfectly reasonable.

well having played both...
just gut both mods to make a personal mod pack.

Would say mix both together to get best in both worlds, and a free dfhack.
both playing experiences aren't different from the other in adventure mode.
