----------The Year is 2065!----------

You, a lucky convict, have received the rare opportunity to repay your debt to society and earn some money for your family in the latest gameshow craze, You Can't Take Your Prize With You!  Pitted against four other hapless dregs, you must race to your spectacular and timely death.  A prize pool of one hundred trillion MegaBux (Adjusted for inflation, 35 USD), is to be divided among the contestants once all have completed the challenge, based on speed, creativity, and a public vote!  The prizes will, of course, be sent to any surviving relations, as you will be dead.

First though, we need five contestants!

To create a character, simply provide...

Name:  Keep it reasonable, but this is a fucked up future so I'll be lenient
Description:  Again, nothing too outrageous
Color:  This should be an actual font color I can use to color-code information regarding your character.  Keep it readable on regular and darkling.

That's it!  No fancy stats!

Dice rolls are also very basic:

[1]  Catastrophic failure.  Ya blew it, capisce?
[2]  Average failure.  You don't accomplish your goal
[3]  Marginal success.  You can't call it a failure, but it wasn't much of a victory either.
[4]  Average success.  If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing adequately.
[5]  Great success.  You did better than expected.
[6]  Overshot:  You succeed so well you actually make things worse!

That's it!  I'll take characters and post them here, and when everyone's accounted I'll post the first proper update.  The goal is to die, but then what happens?

Description:  Gavin is a tall, thin man, with Long, Blonde hair. Despite being a Convict, he always wears a deep Mahogany suit. How he convinced the guards to let him, nobody shall ever know. He wants to win, just to show that he can.
Color:  GOLD Just replace any color in the section with the word 'gold'.

You're trying to die first and best.  If this means killing yourself, so be it.  If someone else kills you, it counts as your entry into the contest so be creative! 

First real update will be coming in a few minutes, since it looks like we have five.

Live from New York City, it's the game so nice they banned it twice!  You Can't Take Your Prize With You!  Officiating the event is our beloved mayor, Big Daddy MegaBuxxx!


Atop a podium, atop an abandoned pre-war office building, is the zoot-suited Mayor MegaBuxxx, supreme ruler of the east coast and official host of the gameshow.  With a flourish, he begins.  "Alright fans, contestants, you know how the game works!  Die fast, die hard, die popular, and the prize is yours!"  He giggles and winks at the camera, "Or, at least, your family's!"

As the cameras focus in on the five contestants, waiting within the office building for the starting gun, Big Daddy MegaBuxxx's voiceover describes them:

First off is Bob, in the mask!  With the records on why he was incarcerated missing, we're not sure he's even a convict!  The wardens decided to free up some space, and off he went to the Greatest Game on Earth!

Another strange one, this man is known only as Keter, which my sources tell me is Spanish for "murder."  Spooky!  Perhaps he was a hitman!  That should make things interesting!

Inside the office, you hear nothing outside, and if it weren't for the camera drones, you wouldn't know you were even on TV.  There's been no power in here for decades, and in place of the sterile, well organized cubicles is a wreckage of paper, plastic and metal.  Paths have been cleared for you to move around, but it'll take some doing to find the creative implements you need to score MEGA BIG BUXXX.

After a moment's rest, the starting gun goes off somewhere above you and the match begins!

It's time to die!
