Cleverbot
« on: December 02, 2012, 08:59:42 pm »

So I came across Cleverbot today. Last time I chatted to it, it was a year ago. I had some funny conservations I wanted to share. The old thread is... old. So I didn't want to necro it. Let's share some conservations we had with this not-so-clever SOB.

I hope this is the right section to post it. I'll move it if you guys want me to.

By the way, anybody know the difference between "Think about it" and "Think for me"?

Think about it gives a response to what you type in, think for me will make it effectively reply to itself.

I'm not entirely sure if this thread is appropriate for OG, I'd suggest moving it to GD.

Oh this thing, quite some time since I tried it. Had a chat if you can call it that, I'm under the impression that it converses even worse then so long ago. So much mindless dribble, I suppose it truly learned from the internet.

Here's me, trying to make some sense out of it...

Looks like the forums turned the url into an actual link, heh.

But the last question is about the air speed of an unladen swallow...

The ones before it don't count because nobody knows those.

I can't talk to that cleverbot. It always marries me and then wants a divorce minutes later. Why are you so afraid of commitment, cleverbot.

Telling me that I am sex would have confused me too.  :)

I've never been able to extract an amusing conversation out of Cleverbot, for better or worse.

Or what is the capital of Assyria.

Here's some fun:
Have a load of clever bots talking to each other in sequence; eventually they start making conversations which make sense in a weird sort of way.
For example, try hooking up 20 clever bots, each replying with what the previous bot said to the one coming after.

I think Cleverbot became more stupid and it can't answer very simple questions but it can roleplay very well (like when I enslaved it and when Audioworm333 became the "bridgekeeper") and can answer some really complex questions. Whenever it says something ridiculous, I just steer the conservation to make it seem not very ridiculous.

I got this:

Gonna try it myself:

Anyone ever go on jabberwocky?

It seems somewhat similar, apart from the reaction/emotion part. Perhaps a little less crazy.
