The record of Danmanucat continues.
Early Fall 251
It has occurred to me that I have not done a very goo job documenting the layout of Danmanucat in these records.
Larnol, wife of Darnol, was welcomed into the group at this time.
She was a Potash Maker, a decent Axeman and marksman. She is an atheist and friends with Tobio.
Hagop had her start making potash, which did not take much of her time.
Larnol and Darnol assisted Peregar in taking care of all the animals.
He needed the help as he had around 40 dogs to take care of.
Duthnur expanded the entrance hall. Not all at once.
After that he expanded the workshop area quite a bit.
The cage traps caught the giant louse and another Giant raven.
A second group of Travelers wander into their territory. In total they numbered six.
They bring word that a trading caravan is nearby. A trade depo is immediately constructed.
A dwarf, whom I think was Yeedwarf, was sent out to inform the caravan of their location.
These new six travelers consisted of a Great Armorer, Furnace operator, Cook, Dyer, Bonecarver, and Mechanic.
Barter swiftly snatched the one quiver they had, and went out hunting.
Jables, and Heinrich succeeded in passing Hagops Trial.
Jables was married to the bonecarver, and is athiest.
Heinrich the Mechanic is married to the Dyer, also an athiest.
A giant crow attacks Peregar. Fishybang and his dogs were sent out.
It is not known how or when, but it was at this time that Louseman blood had gotten all over the aquifer penetration area.
They had successfully pierced through the first layer of the aquifer as well.
The caravan arrives at a time of great excitement.
Fishybang is fighting some giant lovebirds, when one of the monsters rips one of his dogs head off and another ones paw.
He beats two of the creatures into an unrecognizable pulp before being called off.
Hagop trades the creatures he has captured so far with the fellow dwarfs
In return he manages to get lots of Cloth, Bags, Cast powder, more drinks, a second pick, and an anvil.
He somehow managed to make it look like he was giving them a really good deal. They added them to their map
Hagop asked for drinks, sand, seeds, Bags, Iron, Steel, and Marble. for next time they come around.
This is a list of what the traders had requested.
By the time the traders leave the brook starts to freeze over again.
It is winter. Snowstorms hit them throughout the season.
Progress in the aquifer is nearly complete.
The cage traps go off nearly all the time. They caught 5 hamstermen and 3 Giant Wren.
They installed their cages in the hallway.
One of the fisherdwarfs gets the idea to impress Hagop into letting him formally join by hijacking a workshop.
He also steals a couple of stones, which was a big deal at the time.
The result was a toy axe. Dalzatomshit. Has a picture of a mintotaur killing a human on it.
Hagop deemed it to be a "good enough" offering.
Though she was no believer in Arban, and was in fact an atheist. She was to change her name to Pagan as well.
Pagan was assigned to assist Duthnur in his mining duties.
After the death of his dog Solon, Fishybang went from being the happiest dwarf in the world to the saddest one.
Everyone was worried, and Hagop had Jables prepare a feast.
He also takes Jables up as his farming assistant.
They held a feast in Honor of Solon, and even Fishybang managed to have a good time.
Hienrich took Puffers notes on melting the sand and put them to work.
What was made not not rock-like at all, though still incredibly useful.
He made 10 Gigantic spiked "glass" balls, then installed them in the entrance with barters help.
It is springtime now. 28 puppies.
After they had broken through the second layer of the aquifer, they had thought that was it.
But upon mining some space out they ran into the bleeding rocks yet again.
Someone messed up, the aquifer that was being pumped to was too far away, and the whole excavation area become flooded.
Everyone is worried that they will have to start all the way over.
Though other journal entries suggest that this cause some concern about living down there.
At any rate, Pagan was excited because she saw a waterfall when working on it.
And thus ends this section.
(Slothman I do have a dwarf for you, but I had finished playing this section by the time you had requested one.)
