Turn 27: To Terra and the Offer
"First order of business? Give me back Cybuster, just go back to Ponyville, put it down, and tell the pilot she'll need a diffrent unit. Don't worry, I'll provide her a replacement half-way between Ponyville and Los Pegas, you can't miss it." he spoke, "It'll be a nice gift to add some incentive of yanking that S2 Organ..." he noted... "Then it's a matter of killing the Angel so I can work my magic, and here ya go, one S2 Organ."
He looks at Lester's responce... "Four virgin births... for one Masoukishin... seems like a fair deal... I'll go into my storeroom to induce the Virgin Births... say you got any voluenteers?"
While Discord's offer is floating in the air, Twilight and Alicia have the GN Drive Taus they need to continue their respected projects. Alicia then begins to disassemble the GN Drive Tau to install the TD Blanket in each, so she can demostrate her point (4), managing to flawlessly take the GN Drive Tau apart to their components. She takes time to compile the theoretical blueprint she has in mind before putting the GN Drive back together, this time with the TD Blanket (4, d100 roll: 82), though some of the tools broke in the process of putting the other one back together... something tells Alicia that this ship needs new tools for future projects, as she throws the scrap in the pile. To prevent confusion (and a potential explosion in case of a mix-up), she borrows Pinkie Pie so she can etch her Cutie Mark on the GN Drive made with Pinkie's TD Blanket, before she asks Lester that on his next Construction project, she'll use these two Drives to experiment with.
Whoops, some of the tools broke when putting stuff back together... 1 Scrap Metal for what can be salvaged.
Twilight in the meantime floats the GN Drive Tau over her head as she directs the Drones to build the Containment unit (4) using various ship parts and also shops for certain parts. She then carefully sets down the GN Drive Tau and starts connecting it to the unit, in addition to connecting it to the Engine. Once powered up, she directs 3 Unicorns to move the Magically contained DG Cells into it to test the thing. She then announced that by tossing Biomass and random metals, they can grow their own DG Cells from the sample... however they should be careful due to their capacity limit, and if the reserve Generator gets hit by an EMP strike they could be facing a DG Cell Infestation.
120,000 Bits spent on getting a Gravity Territory Generator, in addition to other parts worth 1,000 Bits.
She then tells the Drones to go back to their other tasks once the containment unit is up and running, using a GN Drive Tau as a Reserve Generator.
The Mechanic team keeps working on the Genoaces, upgrading the 15 Genoaces to the Genoace II, before outfitting them with Riot Gear (3+2), retaining their upgrades. Ichiji, being free to do whatever, also helps them out a bit (Ichiji rolls: 4). The other Mechanic team starts building up VARIS rifles and Riot Gear for further use, building 100 of each, while using the refinery for additional Fuses.
One Hundred and Fifty Mobile Suit parts to upgrade the Genoaces to Genoace 2, 275 MS Parts refunded due to canceled order. 300 Weapon Parts, 100 Rifle Frames, and 10 Variable Charge Fuses used to make the Riot Gear and VARIS rifles. An additional 45,000 Bits are spent to get additional Fuses.
With freed up spare time, Ichiji goes out to the Middle District, though some are a bit nervous of her walking around, especially in her Pilot Suit. She does find someone interested in business matters, though he wants her to wear something else because of the feared looks. She personally buys the Gundam mk I Blueprint as well as Mobile Suit parts, though unaware the Shopkeeper's giving her a discount simply out of fear.
260,000 Bits total for the parts and Blueprints.
Lester, feeling like his mind's made up, asks the females of the crew who wants to umm... voulenteer to go though a Virgin Birth (5), somehow convincing four brave women to go though with the process/potential prank. Dreading what Discord's cooking up, he takes a deep breath and orders the team to keep Star Charmer away from Cybuster, in the event of him ending up as the butt of a major Practical Joke, he'll want to dispose of it.
Once Jacob joined the crew, with his Personal Belongings, he begins work on getting details of the Drone system, thinking he can poke around to get info on the basis of Artifical Intelligence for further advancements, borrowing one of the Drones Twilight placed on Maintance duty.
Rarity finishes up her project of loose-fitting clothing for the entire crew, and asks if anyone wants adjustments due to Crew role, they are free to ask her for such services. Once Ichiji gets back from shopping, she asks Rarity to make her a diffrent outfit, as she really didn't want to go back to her seifuku. Rarity accepts and gets her measured out, while realizing that she has a surplus of material.
The Exceed team takes two GN Drive Tausto modify the Zaku as well as some Weapon parts to modify the weapons, namely to make a Beam Machine Gun (3), though in the installation of the GN Drive Tau, one of the Crewponies broke his hand as the Drive was stuck, taking additional time to get his hand out, while fumbling with the GN Drive Tau (3). Applebloom noticed the crew fumbling and tries to catch it, though it hit her in the head before a Unicorn manages to catch the wild drive. Luckly the drive didn't take any damage but it seems installing a GN Drive on a unit not ment for one is going to be harder then they think...
Applebloom tries her best to assist them in installing the GN Drive on the Zaku II despite this (Mechanic team rolls 3, Applebloom rolls 5) and manages to install it without further injury to herself or to any other pony, and personally names it the GN Zaku.
2 GN Drive Taus consumed, 20 Weapon Parts for conversion. Applebloom has sustained a minor head injury.
With Lightning Chaser back and reported on the Blockade dilemma, the mock battles continue, despite the removal of Star Charmer and Cybuster for some reason (why who knows) and begins to focus on dodging and Accuracy (d100 roll: 52, 2), Lightning Chaser's mere appearance accidently caused Brawny Boulder's Gundam to go NT-D mode, trying to strike at Lightning Chaser (5 vs 4+2), missing the Psychodriver completely. The rest of the trainees practice trying to hit a fast moving target like the Zeta Gundam (3) but seem to fail to make a single dent over the next minute.
Meanwhile, Kenji tries to get Derpy to be less inept at piloting (d100 roll: 37), though her exposure to Spiral Energy's starting to have an influence on her, as her eyes slowly "underp" themselves, and giving herself a headache. Her efforts to hit a moving target are not quite in vain (4-1, Kenji's WP roll: 4) that her rock barely makes a dent in the Armorlion, despite him awakening his (weak) Spiral Field. It may take awhile, but he's getting somewhere, on the bright side.
Derpy's exposure has given her a minor Advancement in slowly underping her eyes, advancing her +1 in all piloting stats, including Willpower.
The Research team starts working on advancements in technology, splitting into 4 teams of 15 for Advancements in Foritification, Trans-Phase Armor, EMP Resistance and whatever they can find to shield themselves against certain Spiral Energy-based weapons (Research team 1 rolls 5, Research Team 2 rolls 4, Research Team 3 rolls 3, Research Team 4 rolls 5-1) and gets the following initial results
Fortifying further seems to require rare Metals not found in the Eastern part of Equestria. If they have actual Ores, they can analyze them for specifics of further Fortifications. Trans-Phase Armor research can't be advanced unless they have an actual unit with Trans-Phase Armor, nor can they research on Phase Shift Armor without an actual unit with this specific capability. EMP Resistance seems to be held back a bit but will give you requirements and results as soon as they get back on track. Team 4 doesn't seem to think there is a way to block Spiral Energy but will try to start with what goes into the creation of the Beam Coat already on the ship.
Fluttershy and her Handling team start to tame the Zoids on the Nahal Argama (Fluttershy rolls 4+3+2, Handelers roll 3) and manages to do so, though one of the Handlers suffer a minor injury in the process.
Alice and her team finally manged to finish the Energy Wing System upgrades, and upgrades the Guren mk II Flight types to the SEITEN (4+1), she also maniplates the other Drive to the Rev 1.5 as a stopgap.
20 Knightmare Frame Parts used, 40 Weapon Parts used, and plenty of time spent.
With everyone back on the proper ships, Lester says goodbye to Manehattan (and good riddidence in the case of the Human Crewmen) and sets off for Terra, fleet at hand.
Lester kept track of the 4 women who voulenteered to be Discord's little Virgins, and also keeping a good mind to break apart Cybuster in case he does something funny (5, d100 follow-up: 25)... No Random Encounters happened, but hey, they're viable Fetuses, so Lester shouldn't worry, right?
