Turn 25: Operation Riot
Alicia begins to work on figuring out the TD Blanket, specifically how Pinkie Pie somehow managed to make such a device out of scrap metal (Alicia rolls 4-2, Researchers roll 5-2) and feels quite confused on how she's able to pull it off, she wonders if Pinkie Pie's able to do the impossible herself... In fact she even compairs it to some failed TD Blanket prototypes in her possession, and it seems to be baffling, even if she compares them to what Pinkie Pie pulled.
She now wonders if Lester's willing to contiune figuring out the TD Blanket now, or even try to continue to figure out Pinkie Logic, as she leaves her post to clear up her head a bit.
Twilight works on figuring out the DG Cells from here (4+1) and with her team start to get some idea on how DG Cells more or less grow, creating what she thinks is the theory of DG Cell growth.
The basic idea it seems that given enough exposure to Matter, they can start growing off this energy of sorts. When poked or even struck by various objects, the DG Cells either regrow to repair themselves, or outright 'Infect' the offending object. We had to restrain one of the researchers from doing something extremely stupid at this point.
One oddity about DG Cell growth is how it can be inhibited: Namely a significant amount of Magic can (at least until a more perminate solution can be found) prevent the DG Cells from infecting anything. In addition, if placed in a Gravity well, it can have the same effect as a Magic field, but again, unless a better solution can be found, will only be temporary.
One Unit of Biomass consumed in getting to this point.
Twilight requests to borrow the Huckebein mk III to use it's Gravity Territory system for temporary containment, at least until her team can make a... well more long-term solution to the DG Cell containment issue. She also admits that even with the Containment unit, DG Cells are still dangerious business, and wants also see if it's even possible to defend against DG Cell infestation. However, projection-wise, based on the preleminary theory, it is highly unlikely such a defence exists, outside of using Beam Shields to block off the DG Cell attacks, and even then...
Ichiji starts to lead the team for a "round two" of sorts against the herd (Stealth Tactic Roll: 4) grabbing additional Zoids. She started to notice out of all the Zoids across two Round-ups, they seem to miss the Pack leader. However, Applejack this time noticed something was... wrong with the way the human was rounding them up. The Earth Pony offers to join any further Zoid Roundup antics, and maybe teach Ichiji a thing or two on how to properly Roundup herds of animals without resorting to EMP attacks.
Two Shield Ligers, 20 Command Wolves, missing both Alphas completely.
Fluttershy takes 10 of the Crewmen and start to begin training in how to handle Animals, reminding them she has limits in terms of handling various creatures.
The programming team say that based on projecting information, they'll have the Hacking Program ready by the time the Nahal Argama makes it to Los Pegasus.
The mechanic team start working on GN Drive Taus (6+3), getting quite fired up in their Mass Production antics, creating as many Drives as possible, creating 150 GN Drive Taus.
The Chief has been notified and in case things go nuts, has the units in the Slums area form a Defensive Wall. ARTOO starts calculating the sites of the Missiles, ready to limit the damage it inflicts as it plans 8 spots. (5+1) A twin Salvo of EMP Missiles out of the 4-tube Missile Launcher are sent flying out of the ship and into the slums, hitting their intended destinations, while making sure the defensive wall doesn't take a EMP Attack in the salvo.
After the redux of the Roundup, an Unicorn with the Greek symbol for Psi for a Cutie Mark named Cobolt Charmer wanted to ask Yuri about something, namely about his past and why he doesn't seem to be too receptive of anyone.
Yuri will not be avaible for further actions for a few hours game time, as this pony seems to be interested on how someone from the slums is able to be so... stable. The Psych evalution is intended to be a wham moment, and I really do not want to ruin the surprize.
Alice continues on getting the SEITEN variants up and operating, but it seems the Energy Wing System is a bit of a mess, though Alicia comes out to check on the progress on the system. Alicia tells Alice that she could create a more effiecent system for one of them, but in exchange, it'd be a Psychodriver-restricted unit, as it involves the T-LINK system. For trying to revise the Spiral Energy Drive (4) she discovered Twilight's design felt off, though correcting some of the defects will take awhile, additional time taken to grab specialized tools small enough to work the delicate parts without disassembing the entire unit.
Vinyl and Kasai start searching around and find most of Manehattan... empty. The Riot it seems has the whole city on edge, including the higher districts. Vinyl reports that the Slums are locked down until the riot ends, for civillian safety.
Kenji begins to start training Derpy while the other pilots get paired off to improve skills, though he discovered one thing: Due to her wall-eye condiction, it may take awhile to get Derpy caught up with the rest of the group.
As a reference to how much time it'll take for her not to be so clumsy: Derpy takes 12 Advancements to cancel out her ineptude in all areas of piloting. Though training, she can only get at best 6 Advances, at worse, 4 Advances...
Clair elects to leave the group, feeling like her sense of adventure has long faded. She has decided, when the riot ends, to settle down in Manehattan and open shop somewhere else.
The two Bandits were unhinged, and tried their best to collect their thoughts, but they both relent to what sort of pain they'll be in for if they don't join. The two, though very unhinged, accept the Conscription terms, with Brawny Boulder and Brave Boulder assigned as Parole Officers. Their names are Thunder Thief and Cake Thief, and their luck may have ran out.
Marcus in the meantime look for Blueprints and sorts (5), though while also facing empty streets, finds a stray box of Blueprints. It seems when the Police ordered the streets to be empty just in case, some of the Ponies in the Middle and Upper Districts dropped what they were doing and simply ran home... oh well, their loss...
Blueprints found for the following units: GM I, Zaku I, AEU Enact, Genoace, Gespent mk I, Lion
Back at the slums, the Rioters begin to flare up their anger, showing resentment for the now-freed Humans. Before their units even move a single inch, Missiles landed their way, causing their units to shut down instantly. The riot more or less ended before it even started, though the mob are still angry that not only Humans infest their city, but they have the gall to start a Revolution against the so-called Master Race. Additional tactics may be needed to calm them down...
Going back to Ponyville, Time Turner writes out an order to build the facilities for Terra, with the Mailpony there saying the delivery will be in minutes, as they just got a new shipment of Portable Facilties.
1x Miniture Shipyard, 1x Miniture Mech Factory = Total Bill: 2,000,000 Bits
Lightning Chaser tries to get more info, but decides to start to make his way back to Manehattan, calling the mission off, as he can't seem to get close without a Stealth system or some form of Jammer.
Back at Canterlot, Discord attempts Mental Contact, realizing something wasn't right about his game...
"Hello, you here? or maybe you're over... there!" Discord spoke as he was looking for the humans that were stranded in the Everfree Forest. "I want to have words with those that cheated me out of a Masoukishin... Namly the hell did you do starting a Revolution this early? That Variable-thingy hasn't been fixed and you started a Revolution? Not what I had for this game but I'll let it slide.
But seriously, you picked the wrong pilot for the Masoukishin, it was supposed to be what's left of Nightmare Moon that pilots it so I can force it to evolve... and you just went and took the thing from the Mayor... Now the Cultists are looking all over Equestria because of it... you cheated them out of her and now they're be out for blood." he spoke, as if he both knew something was off but another angle he can use to mess with Celestia's head, as usual.
"Well, that's not the point, you want to ask me other questions?"
