Turn 1:
Ok, Next turn we're rolling for cargo space, fuel tank, and crew space. Do note that you might still be able to change some boni/mali if you want to.
Name contestant: Rick Jumper
-Reason for joining: One of his friend dare him. The money may of be a factor as well
-Biography: Leaving the Army left Rick with little to do so he modify his tank a little and enter it in a few races then modify it some more, repeat until he ended up with a tank to enter in the Wacky Death Races.
-Name Vehicle: Goliath
-Description: A land crawler (picture but lot smaller and the hull look like a tiger tank hull). Uses a fusion engine.
Stats:
- Land vehicle HP: [10/10]
- Fusion engine(+2) HP:[6/6]
Abilities
-Artillery attack
-One time use (attack on self)
-Splash damage
-AOE: 4 tiles
-Accuracy: d4
-Damage: d8
-
Land crawler(as description) [3] Nothing special here
-[1+2] A experimental fusion engine, which is neither strong nor powerfull (You can reroll later, dont worry)
-Rick still has friends in the army and ask them for on call artillery fire on the track.[1] The artillery system is outdated, and the transponder has little range. As such, you have to call it down on your own position
Driver Name: Alexander Kyrby
Reason: He wants to prove he's the best driver around.
Biography: Alexander has always been a skilled driver. He took several road races in his career, including the 24h De La Mans, but to finish his career and cement his place in history, he needs to win the Wacky Death Race.
Vehicle name: The Rally Tank
Description: Imagine a red seven-seat family estate car. Now imagine most of the seats removed. Now imagine a V8 supercharged under the hood. Then imagine someone randomly sticking a tank cannon on top and the armour on the sides. That's the Rally Tank.
Parts:
-Land vehicle. Switching cargo ability [8/8]
-Supercharged V8 rocket engine Speed: 5 [6/6]
-Hard to repair: -2 to repair
-Fuel guzzling. On a 6 or 1 the engine uses double fuel.
Abilities:
-Cargo/ passenger ability. 10 for 1. Up to 20/2.
-Currently: Neutral
-Armour plating (+2 to defense, always takes damage first unless the weapon crits/ special reason) [10/10]
-Irrepairable
--1 to speed
Obviously, being based on an estate car, the Rally Tank is a land vehicle, but not a particularly sturdy one. (-2Hp, +1 Result) [4+1] Thanks to it's design, the Rally tank can at any time turn passenger space into cargo, and vice versa at a rate of one Passenger for 10 cargo. Only up to 2 in each direction.
The engine is a Supercharged V8, not unlike the one Alexander used at Le Mans. It's quick but it lacks any shell stregnth. (-4Hp, +2 Result) [6+2] Saying that the engine inside is a supercharged V8 is a bit of an understatement. With a turbopump which would be more in place on a rocket, this thing truely is a showcase of ultimate strength. It's however, easy to damage and hard to repair and uses a lot of fuel.
The main reason the car is usable in a race like this is the tank armouur plating. It's bulky and slightly slows things down, but once it's gone, it's gone and it ideally saves the engine. [2] The armour plating is little more the plated metal and scrap welded together, but it should serve for a while.
Name: Toaster
Reason for joining: An attempt to prove himself for the third time
Biography: Toaster was a contestant in the previous race that was won by the Sky Lord. He faded into obscurity for a while before returning to the racing scene just in time for the next race.
Parts:
-Land vehicle
-Buttered toast Cat array (+3) [8/8]
-Invisible bike (+2 to dodge. 5 turn cooldown) [10/10]
Roll 1: The body of the Hovercat, despite its hover function, is essentially a land vehicle. Toaster, displeased with the performance of the Darkling Shadow, has tweaked his vehicle concept to focus on just one method of transit. [3] Yup, just your ordinary flying cat.
Roll 2: The engine is a perfected design of the Buttered Toast Cat array he employed in the Paradox. His experience in constructing these, plus his fellowship with the cats, has ironed out any paradoxical behavior in it. Still, cats are a bit skittish, and it is not as structurally sound as it could be. (-2 HP for +1 Roll) [4+1] (You can drop the HP reducing bit if you want to. It doesn't really matter now. Might matter through because of another roll though.)
Roll 3: INVISIBLE BIKE: Calling upon the ninja powers of cats, the Hovercat has the capability to temporarily cloak itself. This makes it much harder to be hit, as you can't really hit what you can't see. Can only be used every once in a while.
[2] Sadly, the bike tracks are visible, floating through the sky. Yet, it still provides a small dodge bonus
-Reason for joining: Doesn't give up. Must win this. Have to earn enough cash for me and my sister...
-Biography: Tyrin was one of the contestants in the previous Death Race, won by the Sky Lord who Tyrin assumed was a monk in disguise due to how he won it. Despite the loss (and the shameful last place), he was aided by several Eurasian allies who have changed his perspective on the world at large, including his ideas and beliefs.
-Name Vehicle: Draugr
Tinted in the dark blue tinge which covers the skies, as well as the myths surrounding the naming of this craft, the Draugr is an Aircraft (scrapping the idea of a hybrid), sleek in figure and in form. Four wings, reminiscent of the old Valkyrie design occupy the lateral portions of the craft - two of which are bent downwards in a V shape, along with heat sink fans placed adjacent each wing, adapted from the Banshee - both being models used by Tyrin in the past... and probable future, thanks to deja vu. Otherwise, it closely resembles the spawn of an ornithopter and a fighter-bomber.
Parts:
-Aircraft
-Vitra reactor (+2) [6/6]
Abilities:
-Ephemeral shroud: For up to one special attack/round, the Dragor has a 66% chance of postponing the attack to the next turn. Only on a six the attack is negated completely. There's no limitation on how often an attack may be postponed.
Roll 1 {Form}: Aircraft [2]
Roll 2 {Engine}: Vittra Reactor: Designed for performance, this device has been compiled from most prototypical material given to Tyrin. Intertwining wiring connects the power engine to the craft's interior, giving it full control over the vehicle, supposedly, speeding up as the craft takes more damage in its entirety. (-4hp for +2) [1+2]
Roll 3 {Bonus}: Ephemeral Shroud: The Draugr was named after Nordic Lore - a ghost. And this idea is what Tyrin hopes to incorporate. Any special attack - be it an EMP or any device which carries any special effect is nulled, or ignored for the time being. This does not include any mundane attacks, ironically. [3]
Name contestant: Connor Hasbin
-Reason for joining: Money, fame, prove his family name wrong!
-Biography: Connor was present when the Sky Lord won that race. His creation hadn't really accomplished as much as he had hoped. But... well... he was also in the race with that crazy dude with the most randomly terrifying thing ever seen. Connor accidentally followed Toaster in the rift of space/time/stuff. Connor didn't keep up.
Suffice to say, he was brought to this timeline way in advance of Toaster. It's mostly similar, so Connor, in the end, didn't mind. Though he found his version of himself had died the day before trying to fix the engine's massive turbine. Lovely clean up job that.
Still fond of his Armadillo concept, he was flabberghasted to see the Goliath. Feeling like it'd look like he was copying it, Connor has gone to the drawing board, and decided to do the riskiest option.
They shall fear the power of his gunboat!
-Name Vehicle: Ark Royal
-Description: Connor took a boat's hull from somewhere (scrapyard), armoured it to hell and added nice big guns and some technical gadgets. This is far more sophisticated than the Armadillo, but maybe a little less adventurous. Still goes by the ideal of letting nothing stop it's unstoppable, if a little slower than the others, advance. Ofcourse, this is definately going to require crew...
Parts:
-Boat: +2 crewspace [10/10]
-Hydrogen engine (3 speed) [6/6]
Abilities:
-Fishing gear: Double results when searching for food
Roll 1: Ship. It's a ship. About the length and width of a luxury yaght + a few more metres in length. [5] Being a large luxury yacht, the ship has extra crewspace: +2
Roll 2: Engine. Connor still uses older engines, but this one runs on hydrogen for it's internal combustion chambers. Powerful with alot of torque and uses a different steering system to add manouvreability if needed. It's still more sophisticated for Connor than normal, and all the finnickity bits have left it more fragile than normal. (-4 hp +2 to roll) [2+2+1]
Roll 3: Re-roll ship if ship rolls less than 4. If not: Fishing gear. Free food on the go! (-1 to roll to give engine another +1) [6-1]
Nikolai Degyatrev
-Nikolai got drunk. Way too drunk. Somehow, he woke up inside the racing pit of a would-be contestant of the Wacky Death Races, and snapped his neck for talking too loud during his hangover. He would have just went back to sleep, but he kinda looked like the racer and now he's been dragged into participating.
Red October
-Nikolai imagines a classic "compensating-for-something" submarine design with monster tires. It's probably better armed than some current submarines on the planet.
Parts
- (Land/water) form. Switching costs 1 fuel and turn [10/10]
- Caterpillar engine (+4) [8/8]
-Rare fuel (-1 to searches, fuel is more expensive)
Abilities:
-Vodka Science fair
-One time use (detonated up to 4 tiles behind the ship)
-d8 accurace, d6+2 damage
-Aoe (4 tiles)
-Splash damage
-Pushes the ship forward by d6+2 tilesµ
-All crew actions in the next turn suffer a -2 penalty
-R1: The SUB BODY, salvaged from an old Soviet design. After patching up some holes, of course. Land+Water form [3]
-R2: The CATERPILLAR ENGINE, a nuclear design that runs silent on radar. It's not as hardy as other designs. (-2HP for +1 roll) [5+1]
-R3: Russian Vodka Science Fair: Fires an incendiary torpedo behind the Red October, lighting a vodka-fueled blaze while pushing the Red October forward thanks to the blast. The Red October is protected from the fire from Russian tears over wasted vodka. [6]
Name contestant: Charles Barkelo
-Reason for joining: Money! Charles is the stereotypical greedy guy you see in every Western movie, and he definitely looks the part. He heard that there was a large cash prize involved, and while he is a bit old-fashioned, he believes he's the only one here fit to win.
-Biography: Charles lived a delusional life. He always thought it was the late 1700s to the 1800s. He would always wear an open, brown, tattered trench coat and cowboy hat, and was delighted whenever thee was just enough wind for him to stand there and look badass. He was born into a poor family, but one his delusions set in, he saved up enough money to buy a horse and he began robbing banks. On his first run, he ended up stealing a cop's gun, so he used that as his main weapon for the majority of his heists. The police department though he was high the first two times, but after he successfully robbed the first national bank, they realized it was serious. They found him one day, standing in the middle of a street looking badass, and they chased after him. He leaped on his horse and rode. And rode. And rode. He came across a large billboard advertising the race.
And the prize money. He was instantly hooked, and rode all the way to [REDACTED] just to participate.
-Name Vehicle: Charlene.
-Description: A large train cab-like vehicle. It's completely steam and coal-powered, but has an electrical motor just in case. It has a luxurious seating area, a Fuel station, and a seat at the front to steer. Despite LOOKING like a train, is steers and stops on a dime.
-Parts:
-Land/water: Switching costs 1 fuel, but is otherwise a free action [10/10]
-Coal engine(+2) [8/8]
Abilities:
-Barrel of explosives (Propels the train d14+2 tiles. Train will take damage if forced to stop)
[/quote]
-Land/Water, as a protective bubble forms around the train when water is about to come in contact with it. The Paint Job is very delicate. [5]
-Runs on a Coal Engine, but has been modified to accept modified coal, which is closer to, well, diamonds. That way, the engine burns much longer. [-2hp = +1] [2+1]
- Charlene's engine accepts more than just diamonds and Coal. It ALSO will accept one of the barrels of Gunpowder he has lying around on board, causing a non-damaging explosion that propels the train forwards at massive speeds! [6]
