Varkhal furrowed his brow but decided against holding his position. Both horses were moving towards him at ramming speed, and he wasn't sure he'd like to stand his ground and receive an attack from both hostiles; it was simply tactically unsound.

"Stay out of the horses' path!" he said to his teammates. "It seems my Light spell drew their attention to me." he completed, before preparing to sprint sideways.

Suggestions given, it was time to sidestep and avoid...But they were moving so fast it was actually improbable he'd be able to avoid them at any rate. It was the time to stand his ground, and his knuckles went white as he gripped the hammer's haft with all the strength he had, snarling in defiance at the approaching enemies.

He really doubted it would go well for him, but it didn't hurt to try...Maybe even facing them head-on. Most certainly stupid, but he didn't have much to lose.

Keep the Defensive Stance, sprint towards the Horse (22 AP, 4 Energy?) and use Bane Smash (25 AP, 1 Energy).

"Well, shoot..." He muttered as he nearly took a step back out of reflex, but stopped himself.  He couldn't just leave the guy to die, he seemed perfectly willing to, but it would be rather rude to just leave him to do it after all.


Take Sprint two steps forward and one step right (24 AP, 6 EP), and Cast Fire Missiles (25 AP, 8 MP) on Horse H  [Total: 49 AP, 6 EP, 8 MP]

Aerus's attack strikes his target in the head, but the wolf barely seems to notice. (17 Piercing Damage Dealt)

Varkhal begins to sprint towards the horses, but before he can take more than two steps the horses are already inches away from him - His Stone Ward zips towards the first horse, slamming into it and slowing it down greatly, though still not enough to stop it from striking him. (9 Blunt Damage Dealt - 16 Absorbed by Stone Ward - 3 Resisted by Stoneskin - 9 Resisted by Armour)
Unfortunately the loss of the Stone Ward allows the second horse to charge into Varkhal with full force. The only thing he can do being swinging Bane at it before he falls - Luckily, the attack actually manages to hit, and the speed the horse is traveling at is no help to it at all, only strengthening the force of the blow. (41 Blunt Damage Dealt)
Not all is good for Varkhal, as this doesn't stop the Horse from colliding with him. (20 Blunt Damage Dealt - 3 Resisted by Stoneskin - 9 Resisted by Armour)

The Arcane Elementals attempt to assist Varkhal by casting their spells at the Horse. (8 Water Damage + 10 Arcane Damage Dealt)

Gamble, nearly having sprinted straight into a tree - casts Fire Missiles again, on the Nearest Horse. (7 + 7 + 6 Fire Damage Dealt)

Sia, in an attempt to save Varkhal casts Minor Regeneration on him! (5 Health Restored)

The Water Elemental, now out of mana, resorts to punching the Horse a couple of times, though it's not very effective. (2 Water Damage Dealt)

Both of the Horses' next attacks are poorly aimed, glancing off the sides of Varkhal's armour. (7 + 7 Damage Resisted)

Sia winced at the horses' onslaught on Varkhal. She was very, very glad she'd been with him, and somewhat sad that she hadn't tried to obliterate one outright before it had reached him.

Contemplating the wisdom of doing that now, she decided one was too healthy to risk. Instead, she hefted her staff, took a deep breath, and started running forward.

Dash three tiles up-left (24 AP, 6 E). Whack Horse with my staff (25 AP, 1 E).

Varkhal had little to no time to prepare for the hostile horses' charge; there was only a moment to steel his will and tense his muscles before they were upon him. The young man swung Bane, wincing and groaning in pain shortly afterwards as he was hit by the speeding enemies.

He was stunned and felled; the hits got him solidly, but luckily his armor took and saved him from a good part of the blow. It was something quite new to him, being hit by such force. Although he did suppose his training had also prepared him for this kind of thing...

The arcane smith roared once again and sprung into action. He would be the one left standing in the end.

Bane Smash (25 AP, 1 Energy) Horse.
