Summer break is here, and I've managed to work out my notes/lore for this game so its time to bring it back from hiatus and get things underway, I know Cael and Tir are still interested and am now sending PMs to the rest of the players to find out who is still in. Once we've got the players worked out I'll have the next turn up shortly, thanks for waiting so long for it to come back guys ^_^

I'd like to join up. Been lurking for about a year now, but this looks like a good RTD, so I finally made a forum account.

Name: Dalon
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Race: Human

Bio: Discharged from the UM after only a week, Dalon isn't really combat trained. Instead, he turned to a life of refurbishing broken machines for a profit or keeping them himself. After a few years, though, he got bored with his life and decided to advertize his skills as a general mechanic and tinker to various gangs. Predictably, this didn't go very well. Now on the run from at least three separate crime bosses, Dalon was advised to try joining ((uh... what's the player group named/referred to as?)) by a black market contact they both knew.

Occupation: Tinker
Possessions:

Story-lines: sure
Group: no

Miniturn

Isara Nindarin Velias, Robert, Jack Hansan, Deniard Wilkins (Tiruin, 10ebbor10, Tavik Toth, Spinal_Taper)

After you all agree on going to the station, and taking Robert's proffered job you set out for the Docks and Jack's shuttle which will be bearing you to the station and (hopefully) get you all inside. Expecting the ship bay to be empty you all (except Robert) are surprised to see a group of people gathered around the shuttle's door, all but two of them are clad entirely in black. The other two are wearing rather casual clothes, one of them is an old man with grey hair and a wizened face and the other a young brunette who has the look of cornered animal about her, and greet all of you warmly when you are introduced.

The old man speaks up,

"I'm Terence, you can call me Tere, and this is my daughter Ursa. It seems we got assigned to escorting you lot down to the database we need to get the data off of so you'll be seeing a lot of us, my only advice to ya is just to be careful around those Hunter fellows over there. We've had a handful of less then ideal situations due to them since we began this job, all they're good for is trouble and killin'."

With that the man gives you all a smile and politely excuses himself so the meeting can begin in full.  Robert takes a moment to explain the situation and job more clearly to the group as well as to ensure that the black clad figures, a group called the Hunter apparently, are on the same page about what needs to be done. When you all finally agree on the objective Jack unlocks the shuttle, and you all clamber aboard the aged hunk of junk reluctantly though driven by the reward that awaits you.

Terence and Jack make their way to the cockpit while the remainder of you make yourselves comfortable in the shuttle's passenger compartments. All you have left to do is wait ...

Jack Hansan
Time passes quickly as you pilot the shuttle out of the hangar, and off into space towards the station, you pass the time chatting with Terence a bit but its a tad unpleasant considering you hardly know the man but he acts like you're best friends. You're a bit relieved when you finally begin to approach the station and the docking procedures begin, the UM code Terence gave you works perfectly and you get clearance to dock at ....

The Spire, a small hangar bay at the top of the center module, the place you're supposed to be but its also close to the station's command center so security could be tight up there. It would however also make one of the most direct and quickest route to your destination, not to mention it'd avoid you from getting stuck do to the station detaching the module you docked in.

or

Section C Cargo Docks, a hangar bay on one of the outer blocks of the station, while its the least likely route to send you through a lot of security its also a much longer path to your destination not to mention if your caught they could simply disconnect the module before you have a chance to get back to the ship. The Section also seems to have suffered a fair amount of damage from something as a number of holes and large dents mar its surface, who knows what all is damaged in that area.

Jack turns in the comms then explains the two options. "So, which of the two do we go to?

((Something tells me I haven't posted yet. Also, the shock maul is not currently displayed in my inventory.))

Durand frowns, dragging the unconscious guards back to the guard post only to write a note and leave it on top of one of the men, the calligraphy refined and official-looking:
Quote
Surprise Evaluation - Short Notes

Soldiers, I ask of you to not drink during work hours. Due to fact I believe you deserve a second chance, thanks in no small part to the fight you were able to put up, I will refrain from sending a detailed report to your superiors. On another note, I am taking both of your uniforms as a lesson so you may remember that if I were a hostile, both of you would be dead right now. I now declare this evaluation finished.

Even if it did not fool the men completely, it had at least a good chance of throwing them off for a while, long enough for them to avoid talking to their superiors when combined with the shame of failing their duty.

To be fair, the seneschal honestly believed that if someone had a job, either they did it well or their future would be steamrolled by the people who did theirs exemplarly. Thankfully, he was inside the steamrolling group and would remain comfortably inside it for the foreseeable future. His infatuation with his ancient and very efficient power armor is also once again justified.

Don one of the uniforms and infiltrate the midst of the recruits.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"Just be wary is all I'm thinking right now. We can get lost among the stars on one mistake.

"Hopefully this won't be one."

Wait patiently, and analyze my team vital signs while waiting.

Isara Nindarin Velias (Tiruin)
When you finish answering Jack's question you turn your attention to 'Tala', she whirs to life and her voice is rather clear despite the roaring engines nearby.

'How may I be of service Master?"
"Hello Tala, please scan the lifesigns of everyone on board this ship."

Tala falls silent and you see a few lines of code roll across the upper part of the screen while the bottom is filled with various readings of vital signs, basic toxic readings, and such. It takes a few more minutes before you hear a metallic click and Tala says,

'The vitals of all people on board are fine, and I can't find anything outright wrong with them though a blood sample would be needed to make sure my readings are truly accurate.'

Jack Hansan (Tavik Toth)
It takes a moment but you and the comm officer finally agree on a landing site inside the Spire, and it takes a few minutes longer before you arrive in the actual landing bay itself. As your shuttle settles to the floor of the landing pad thick airlock doors close behind you sealing the landing bay from the void outside as the pressurization process begins. In the bay itself you see a number of crates bolted and tied to the far wall, you assume them to be repair supplies for maintenance to the docking ships, and two doors.

One door is off to your right, its small and its markings lead you to think its a service hallway while the other is a much larger pair of retracting blast doors. When the pressurization process comes to a halt the blast doors open and a trio of UM soldiers step through, two of them sleek black rifles in their hands while the third hold only a clipboard though you can see a stocky naval pistol strapped to his side. If they take a look inside the shuttle itself you fear you'll be discovered, but if you act to soon you'll be discovered as well ...

Durand Mondegan (Caellath)

With your newly liberated disguise you make the short trip to the UM section of the Docks, the guards on duty at the entrance you use give you a nod as you enter and one of them makes a joke about fresh recruits and how their quality has declined when he thinks you're out of his hearing. Inside you find a receptionist sitting idly behind a desk, and when you ask her where the shuttle bound for Phalanx is she cheerily points you to ship bay 28-CV.

Ship bay 28-CV turns out to be a massive hangar with a massive round bellied transport almost two stories tall and beginning to show signs of severe wear and tear sits in the center. Off to the right you see a small group of what you assume is senior officers sitting about a table chatting over cups of some drink, and off to the left is a long line of people uniformed like you waiting their turn a series of caged booths interspersed along the wall. Further up on the right side you see a few signs, the first of which reads 'Med-bay', the second reads 'Washrooms and Lockers', and the third reads 'Quartermaster's Offices'. What do you do?
