Because you become one with the dragons, and can control them, to ruin your foes.

But... You kill dragons all the time in this game... and you could even clear the land of dragons. You could even just kill him before the dragons rally.

I mean if it turned your entire population into dragons... Yeah that would pretty much be a game ender.

I thought Mech#4 implied it...

Also I think revealing the conclusion is a bit... bad for a letsplay. Maybe we should edit and spoiler.

Not sure what you mean with the conclusion. There are no spoilers revealed.

Just wanted to say that I've considered picking this up, but I'd just be disappointed not to have a little character to rage at my enemies. Little Erala is an awesome part to this LP. :)

I like the game, it has a nice sense of progression and I enjoy the magic system as well as the roleplaying elements. To me it feels a lot like Master of Magic (of which I've admittedly only played a bit of) and has a degree of depth to spells that I don't often see (raise and lower land are an example there). The backstory doesn't get mentioned much, but what I know of it is displayed in game through events and the creatures you fight, as well as specific entities being present (such as Delin the fire elemental, who has a spell named after him).
I could say that I wish the teams were more unique, but that's just me wishing there was an undead faction. The game has it's own mythology and tries to stay away from too many cliches which is commendable, and I can always play Heroes of Might and Magic 5 to be an undead faction.
As you've all no doubt realised by now, I certainly do not play to maximum efficiency. I forget where my units are, don't always garrison my towns, have only broad long term goals beyond survival, and react to threats when they've already done something nasty. :P
I'll state it. I like this game, to me it is a good game. There's a few issues but they don't bother me enough to be beyond a tiny letdown.

@Stworca: You'll understand if I say that I'm further storywise in Dark Souls then you are, but my best weapon is +2 and my armour is +1.  :P

These updates will be all up ons!

Honestly sometimes I can forgive a game for being underwhelming if at least It makes me pine for it done better.

Did you camp a few pioneers next to Erala before defeating the icy boss?
Edit : With their incredibly low spell resistance for an end-game unit, you could shrink the titans. 0 dodge times 2 is still 0, while halved attack means Elara surviving. Ridiculous attack of enemy creatures at the end game, was the reason i went with path of mage, and earth archmage. Backed by cost reducing gear, spells and traits, diamondskin makes short work of.. everything.. For 60% lesser cost.

That's the kind of thought that only occurs to me AFTER it would have been useful.

As for Erala, well... I don't have shrink, and I think the barb shield deals damage dependent on the amount of damage dealt to the target, so a hit of ~23 got returned for 70. I attacked before I thought. The two fields of magic I'm lacking are probably the most useful against powerful foes; air and death. Air for haste and teleport and death for weakening, curse and so on.

::Goes and has a look::

Hm, shrink and growth are level 3 life spells, which makes it a bit of a moot point because I don't think fallen factions can learn life magic. It might be possible to learn it from an item though.

5 but yeah this one look nice though Anthys - Play across the entire world of Elemental on this map that is over twice the size as the largest maps in Fallen Enchantress.
