Well, not all they do is bad. They do good work too, which is really the only reason the feds haven't gone after them all that hard. Some of that includes putting rival criminals in jail. Some of it is interrupting other organizations crime. Some of it is charity work; that's for money laundering, from what I know, though a significant portion goes to real charities, to keep up the act.

She adjusts her glasses, thinks over her next words carefully. I know this because I used to work for them. Not in the sense that they're after me; we were on pretty good terms. But I'm a mercenary of sorts, and they stopped being the highest bidder.

Now she waits to watch the man across from her, see his reactions.

"So. You're all these 'superheroes' I've been hearing about on the street?"

"Apparently. That's more true for some than others."

Have you formed some sort of group? If so, I'd like to offer my services."

She finishes burning the ones that were too late and steps back inside.
"Does this bar serve any drinks that are non-alcoholic? Fire and alcohol do not mix well."

"Not that I know of. But yeah, if we do, you'd be welcome."

"There is no excuse for their actions. A masquerade like that only serves to protect their image. If they believe they can be above the law by balancing their evil with good actions, they're wrong."

Never said they were above the law, or that it was an excuse. Just making sure you knew everything they were doing. Anyway. A rival of their's wants me to get one of them into jail. Not dead, mind you. If they're dead, they can't confess, and thus start bringing the whole thing down. But...I'm not a Super like you guys.

She leans back, cracks her neck. So I might need some help.
