Hm, forgive me for my meddling, but I find the idea of this forum game quite interesting yet I really can't figure out properly how this game works. Can someone explain me how it is and what's going on in Hadria?
Certainly. The YaK games are essentially a kingdom/empire sims, where all players participate as characters inside a given knigdom. One of the players plays a king/emperor and rules over the country, whereas everyone plays a courtier or a noble or a politican (although the roster of characters most certainly goes beyond those immediate ones: mercenaries, assasins, adventurers are all have their place in our kingdoms).
From that point onwards, we are playing a game of conquest, politics, intrigue and romance. Pretty much everything goes, as long as its within reason. Our GMs are making sure that everythin that happens is interesting, and create events that propel the kingdom forward. So we have players going to war in the name of their king, spying on each other, plotting and fighting for ideals and honour or power and personal gain. We all fight for the royal favour, although we had instance of rebellion and plotting in almost every game - it is expected that kings should be in fear of their subjects, for they are not all-powerful.
We have a wiki and there are old game threads all over the plce just refe rto the first page of our IC thread. we also reside in the IRC channer under #YaK4, so you are welcome to join us there and talk with us directly.
Now for the rundown of events in Hadria: Emperor Septimus (Azthor), begun conquest of our neighbouringh countries and joining them as provinces under our empire. Most of major players are senators and through lot of silly politics we are currently fighintg in the senate building. Don't worry, this is a common ocurrence in all YaK games, where our collective insanity takes over and trumps logic and politics.
