This is a very interesting concept...I've got a question though.  Does Desperate Gods itself avoid any situation where a player is required to see a card, while concealing it from other players?  That's the only thing I didn't see come up in the review that might keep it from being adapted to a lot of the board games I play.

KG
If a card gets flipped everyone can see it. There really is no reason to conceal anything though.

Yes, there are no situations like that.

Some issues:

Some of the rules aren't very clear.  One of the squares refers to "Limbo" (Take the gold from limbo) but there's nothing else about this.  Some enemies have extra effects when you die, but it's not clear whether those effects are in addition or instead of the regular damage.  Certain cards mention which they are, making it sound like they're an exception, but they're contradictory.

The quotes are dumb, and the faux religious text citations are worse.

Well here is the largest issue in my mind

The people who made this must have had a HUGE brain fart to make the cards used for the green spaces the Brown cards...

And the red spaces with Orange cards.

Honestly I don't know if this is lazyness or that they didn't have time to remake the cards to the current board? (or the board to the current cards)

Yep it is probably because you cannot scroll... did you try making the window bigger?

Aww you won't be able to see my epic pyramid...

No, I can't change the window size.  I've got it as big as it'll go unless I start messing with the actual monitor resolution and that'll just make it harder to play.

Assume Talisman rules because that looks like what they made.

They're likely to do a few patches like they did with Receiver.

What I love is a square "Draw three cards, opponent chose one"

Does that mean if there are three players that all three get chosen automatically?

Try redownloading the game, I downloaded Vonkie's mouse only mod and got scrolling, apparently they silently released an updated version.

BTW there's a cleared up official ruleset on their forums. (Limbo is where your coins go when you die)

@Neonivek: Apparently if the other players can't decide which monster (or item) to choose they roll for it.

No, actually it sounds like your opponents choose a card for you to fight. You don't get to choose what you fight.
