Question: who do you guys think has the most words/runes/muffins figured out? Anyone with the whole book yet?

I'm not certain for the word part (we have about 80%), but I am certain that our team (Join Team Bismuth) knows more runes and circles then anybody else out there (we have about 40% after some recent trades). And I'm certain the bartender has the most muffins, but he may ask you to trade your souls for them.

Incidentally, if you find a spear made of arm bones or a giant beetle which answers to the name of "Sparky", the sky pirates would appreciate their return.

SPARKY THE STORM BEETLE
He is blue, the size of a car, looks like a beetle or tick with four wings, and is surrounded with lightning. When he flies it sounds like continuous thunderclaps. He was last seen near the beach, carrying a concrete bowl. Be careful, he is scared and might hurt you if you come too close. We miss him greatly. If you know anything, please wait near the spawn room for one of the members of the sky-pirates to appear. Don't worry, due to our gypsy death curse, you won't be waiting for long.

Since Piecewise bas been updating irregularly, I'll save you some time.  He'd just describe the first room to you, then let you choose what to do.

Instead I'll give you a description of the temple so you can have a full turn.

Most of the temple has an anti-magic thing on it.  You need to exit before drawing runes/saying words.

The room you spawn in has a big magic circle on the ground and eight inanimate mummies kneeling around it.  Only one exit, which leads into a hall with eight doors and a staircase.  The doors open into various god shrines, so you can devote yourself to them and get bonuses.

If you go up the stairway, there's lots of mummies, and one talking mummy you can ask stuff.  It's basically the backstory/knowledge dispenser.

Down the stairway has a lobby with fancy carved pillars of various humanoids, and an exit out of the temple where you can cast magic.

At the very bottom of the stairway is the basement, where you can grab very basic supplies and fight monsters.  You can also cast magic here, too.

You can devote yourself to one of eight gods to gain unique powers.  Although, If you stay an agnostic you'll have a better chance to gain souls from random mobs.


Yo-drell of the Deep- Survival centered god.  Abilities center around being impossible to hurt.

Sha-calun the Everflame- ALL BURN!  Centered around FIRE and excessively powerfull and uncontrollable spells.

Flux- God of change and agility.  Seems to be centered around being flexible in purpose, and in body. 

Parathun the Fleshsmith- Mutate and Evolve.  Mutates you, positively, I think.

Scarlon the Mask- Mind Control-  Centers around knowledge and Controlling things

Blastel- God of fighters- Kill enourmous stone boars with only a stick!

Nul-sheal the Green- Control elements- Gain complete control over a random element.

Shub-shalsheil of the Inksea- Rune god-  Draw better runes.

Nope, Bismuth has the most runes. No data available about other stuff, but I'm certain for the rune part.

Also, there is the hall of remembrance where you can check the death-o-meter and the reading room that contains some scrolls but most of them have been looted.

Other points of interest are the bar, where you can trade souls for special stuff and the clothing store where you can find any kind of clothing you want for free. EDIT: those are in the village though.

At this point in time, there's two main factions among the players, Team Aether and Team Bismuth, along with a handful of minor groups which have no more than a few people each. If you don't know many words, I believe both teams offer their entire word list to members, but you'd have to ask them about that.

They offer their whole word list. Aether's builds on that of the first alliance, which means they have about 95-99% of the words.
Also, despite what you've heard, I believe Bismuth only has about four, maybe five members total. Sorry, Paris.
