...Well. Not a show of bravery, but still effective.

Nikolai moves out of the shadows after some more of the men fall, judging it's about good enough.

Leave hiding when it's about time.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Jesus must have been guiding him in living out the way of the samurai.
((I think I'm going to have to quote this at some point))
"They appear to be little more than bandits.  I caught these men while on patrol, and found them all to be armed with pistols and blades.  I am currently escorting them back to our camp so that they might be interrogated, and then brought to justice for their lawlessness. "
Accept any help that my English comrades would be willing to provide in bringing these prisoners back to our camp

Akio smirked. How fitting. He crept just the slightest amount closer, still observing. Quickly, he went through his pockets to write down what he'd said, and what he said later. Then, if they're alone, he fires an arrow  at their feet and approaches them, nocking another arrow.
"Ah, but she already knows. And she is not pleased with it. Your mistress is right to be afraid, you know. Your wife is very, very angry."

((I think an update to playerlist/waitlist is needed, given that scapheap is playing :) ))

Seeing some action, hm? Are we that close to the front lines?

Leia examined her notes, mostly scribbles as she pondered on what to do.

In a soldier's camp. Might not want to disturb their rest - they need it more than me, obviously. The walk was very tiring...wonder what kind of regimen they take to endure that? Twenty kilometers at dawn before breakfast?

Darn, I really should've gotten into long distance running...into shape, for that.

She moved into her tent, contented with the fineness of the earth under her (using a common cloth tool technique) and examined her notes.

Well...if there's action I'd be seeing, might as well take a good rest. Not much else I can do, I guess.

Rest, but not before securing the entrance of my tent.

Get used to it...I wonder...

Chen nods and then salutes. He heads down to the camp and looks for a way to make himself useful.

Chen manages to compose himself. His captain puts a hoof on his shoulder. "Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Why don't you head down to the camp and help round everything up?" The captain motions to the camp, being pillaged and the remaining French being taking captive. Chen can hear the gunfire of some captives being executed.

Leia thinks to herself as she closes up her tent, resting on it's bottom. She closes her eyes, curling up to herself, drifting to sleep...

She dreams of soft and bright colors, cascading mountains among the horizon....

Leia awakes to the sound of hoofsteps and hooves. They must be moving out already.

Kenshin explains the situation to the cavalry. "They appear to be little more than bandits.  I caught these stallions while on patrol, and found them all to be armed with chromes and blades.  I am currently escorting them back to our camp so that they might be interrogated, and then brought to justice for their lawlessness. "

"Very well, you can hoof them over to us. You should head back to camp, I heard they are sending your lot out."

Wang investigates the church before he heads off. Stepping through the doors, he sees that the pews and statues have been put into places as barricades. There are rebel corpses on the floor, he'd estimate about half a dozen in here total. He puts his lighter to a nearby candle, and drops the candle on the church floor. The flame starts to cackle as he walks back out.

The two groups head away from the now burning church, making their way back through the mountain to meet the others. As they round a bend, Wang spots a group of Russians. Before they can pass though, the Russians take a stand in the road, blocking them off. "What's this?" asks the other Chinese officer. One Russian states, "Beyond here is claimed Russian land. Our leaders sends word not to let anyone clear until he gives the signal." The Chinese officer steps forward, "This is madness, let us through." The Russian shrugs. "If you want to come through,-" he draws a pistol at the Chinese officer, "You do so as a corpse." The Chinese officer pulls out his revolver and points it back in response. Soon, every Russian and Chinese soldier is pointing guns at each other.

Uh oh.

Wang's Unit: 5 (2 Injured)
Reinforcement Unit: 9 (1 Injured)
Russians: 12

Spoiler: Wang Tsaongpa (click to show/hide)

Charley looks for another horse. (5) He finds one just trotting around. He also looks through the stallions stuff for his name. (3) Hui. Could be a first or last name. That's all he's got.

Spoiler: Charley Dalarko (click to show/hide)

Akio sees that they are alone after writing down his very words, and as such, fires a shot at their hooves. It startles them as Akio emerges from the shadows. "Ah, but she already knows. And she is not pleased with it. Your mistress is right to be afraid, you know. Your wife is very, very angry."

The stallion fumbles. "Well...you see...the reason...for...-" He lunges at Akio. (2 vs. 3+1) Akio dodges the attack, (5 vs. 1) and sweeps the stallion off his legs and onto his back, stunning him.

Spoiler: Akio Mitsuru (click to show/hide)

Dingbang Kuo heads himself into the Kansu-elimination group. The two squads diverge, and head off to their respective locations.

After a bit of marching, the Kansu group sees the camp in the distance. The captain barks out, "We'll have no chance at stealth, do a full on charge!" The stallions roar, and break into a sprint towards the Kansus, who have began to notice them.

((And then we were horses?))
Akio turned and shot a glare at the mistress, before looking back at his target. He walked over to him, nearly stepping on his hand. Then, he took out his sword, and angled it at him.
"Tell me. Did you think this was really a good idea?"
