3300 gp would effectively get me 36 extra hp and +1 to my Fort save.(The crystal, the diamond, the cloak, and armor of Stamina)

4000 gp would literally get me 4 extra hp and +1 to my Fort save.(Periapt of Constitution +2)

The Magic doesn't always understand, does it?

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

So do we want to use DnD falling speeds or real ones? Terminal velocity in Dnd is about 40 mph(360 feet per round, 60 feet per second...), while true terminal velocity for someone untrained, trying to go quickly, as Dorf would, is around 160-180 mph. Probably more for a dwarf, say 200 mph. Once he can see the bottom, he'll go eagle and spread his arms, slowing down to somewhere around and slightly above 110 to 125 mph.

D&D says max falling damage is 20d6, minus any falling resistance (monk skills, tumble checks) you have. Just gotta be careful to distinguish between "treat the fall as 10x feet shorter" (like monk skills) and "take X less damage dice" (like tumble checks).
The hell of it is, he's likely to survive impact, since 20d6 averages out to 70 damage, and I think he said he has 78 health.
As for the fight afterwards, and then the drowning, well that why I gotta go help him.

I actually rolled 20d6, 20 times, and by my experimens he's got a 1/5 chance of falling unconscious from impact.

+11 to Swim checks while raging. +13 to swim checks to resist nonlethal damage from swimming for an hour.

Because it's water, and I made my jump check with falling colors, I should(hopefully) only take 12d6 lethal, 2d6 nonlethal, 2d3 nonlethal. If the GM is less generous, 16d6 lethal, 2d3 nonlethal. That's if he rules the Jump check thing doesn't stack, and then there's the middle ground where a critical success doesn't double how much damage I 'avoid', and thus I take 14d6 lethal, 1d6 nonlethal, 2d3 nonlethal. And 8 of the damage will go to my Temp HP, which comes back next round. And then I actually heal for 8 hp thanks to my cloak. And then, maybe, a second time. Probably a second time.

I think the middle ground is where we'll end up.

The airship should end up arriving 10 minutes after you hit the water. If the fall hasn't killed you, and the boss (with whatever HP he has left, if any) hasn't killed you, you should survive.

I thought he had only 68 HP when I moused over the pog. Going down to -10, I guess that's 78. Hopefully (for you) the Count is also badly wounded, because you're going to be taking fairly massive damage.

76 once I rage when I get near the water(YOU ANGER ME, OCEAN), and I hope to land on him, dealing 20d6 damage to him. If he's not already dead from the fall, that'll kill him. And if THAT doesn't work, I'll grapple. I'm almost certain I've got a better grapple modifier than him, even if we're both raging, and I'm absolutely certain that I can hold my breath longer. 4 minutes, out of combat, 2 in combat. Hurray ridiculously high Constitution!

You think you can actually land directly on the man? If he's conscious, he's going to see you coming and get out of the way. If he's not, there's a decent chance he's sunk below the surface anyway. And good luck trying to swim and grapple at the same time. I get the feeling this isn't going to go well for anyone involved.

I don't think he'll be expecting someone to come after him. Or a dwarf using his huge axe as a guiding fin.

From those heights, succeeding on a skill check is absolutely worthless. If you succeed on a DC15 jump check, you can treat the fall as 10' shorter, which will cause you to take damage as if you had fallen 100 miles less 10 feet.

Even tumble checks, which scale linearly (treat the distance as 10' shorter for every full 15 you got on your check), would be no help here. Pretty much your only hope to reduce the damage is to cast Feather Fall (or equip a Featherfalling ring) right at the end of your drop.

Which means that for Dorf, his only hope is to tank it and hope like hell the RNG doesn't decide that Poseidon is hungry for fat midgets today.
