It was epic. But didn't actually work all that well. Only really let me shatter one sword and deal 7 damage. And I still lost half my health.

Oh yeah, that plan. Did you ever backstab the leader? Also, how did my auto-attacking go?

I got him with a crossbow bolt(far more accurate for my char). But only 7 damage...I don't think it did much. You were the ranger, right? Oh yeah, and I claimed the barrel of directional blast powder for my character. Explosives are the favored weapon of the Patient One, for thus of us without tentacles.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I won't be able to show up for sessions until holiday hours are done. I'll probably miss the next two sessions, assuming that holiday hours don't stretch past Boxing Day. If there is someone on a waitlist that wants in, just let them. If I'm replaced, just waitlist me and I'll be back in eventually. It's just bad timing. :\

Your character stayed back with the prisoners and Lady Distinda. When you're ready to play again it should be relatively simple to bring you back in. Everyone wants to have their tentacle man back.

This? This is going into the out of context thread.

No. He's MY tentacle man. I draw my power from his ever-watching eyes.

I am also in the same boat with not being able to rejoin until after the holidays.  Been a crazy week, and have a couple more coming.

Ya know, just earlier today I was thinking, "I have Sundays and Tuesdays open this semester, I wonder which one I should use for playing games... something like D&D... with people over the internet."

If you're accepting submissions, I'll go take a look at some of my sourcebooks when I get home from work, and draft up a... heck I dunno what class to even play just yet. What's needed for our group? If we're low on meatshields I might consider one of those variant chaotic-good paladins from whatever book that was...

We're most definitely not lacking in meatshields at the moment. Right now combat's still going fast enough that I think I can handle more players, so feel free to throw in.

My god, it's Shoruke!

I'll be busy driving home this Sunday, so I won't be there unless I leave earlier than I think I will or you guys play later than I think you will.

My god, it's Shoruke!
Yeah, been a while, eh?

Anyhoo, I recall there being a batch of classes somewhere whose entire thing was making shadows into physical stuff... might have been the Tome of Magic. I was thinking of looking at that stuff, but having skimmed a couple random pages of the thread, it sounds like I'd have to optimize all to schist to keep up using those. I remember reading them and thinking, "these things would be so cool if you didn't get all the good stuff 5 levels too late".

Basically I feel like playing a sneaky-type character if you don't need a meatshield.

We can always use more of those.

It looks like we're at least 3 people down this week, can I get a heads up from everyone else as to whether we still want to have it this week? It's really up to you guys, I'm not experiencing any timing issues, but I want to make sure everyone's okay with playing a half-party session.

Do Shadowcaster, Shoruke! I'm a truenamer! (And a little bit of crusader) Now we only need a Binder...

Any word on that truenaming DC fix? (Changing DCs to 15+CR instead of 15+2xCR was the suggestion, but it could be less of a decrease if required.)
