((No, an elf must yell out "FUCK NATURE!" to be accepted.))

indeed. it's off season for elves to be at the fortress so what are they to think? invasion obviously. besides, Vanya was revealed to be an elf after she was thought dead. they never demonstrated that they could tolerate elves so I took some creative liberty.

Turn might be up tonight, though I'm going to try a schedule of uploading every other day and every day during weekends and holidays.

once more, I'll ask. do you guys want me to post a notification in the other thread when I upload a turn?

((Vanya was actually revealed to be an elf to about 75% of the main characters before she left, and 100% of those not only tolerated her, but helped her out if they could - even Tomio, who had reason to hate her. Sigh... I'll console myself with the fact that this isn't official canon and be quiet about it.

Plus, maybe the dwarf who was in the tower was a recent migrant or something, who knows. lol

And I check recent topics, too, but if you want to post in the Spearbreakers thread, that's fine with me.))

You guys are going to have to forgive me for not knowing the layout of the fortress. I haven't taken a look at the save and probably won't, so if I say that something does or doesn't exist, then it does or doesn't exist.

Turn 4: Best Friends
Players
Idem Valan
"Did she just make that spawn explode?!"
Go ahead of the group. Aid Luthian on arrival and try and stop the slight bleeding.
6) you run ahead of Fischer and she raises her eyebrows, but doesn't stop you from going ahead. "Be careful," she said, "Some dwarves in spearbreakers tolerate other species, but our marksdwarves shoot at anything that moves."

You ignore her and press forward. pretty soon you come to the lowered drawbridge of spearbreakers. A large amount of shouting to your right draws your attention and you see a figure slumped against the wall of spearbreakers. the marksdwarves in the tower above him seem to be having a party over actually being useful for once.

fearing the worst, you run to the body, shouting at the watch tower not to shoot, that you're a migrant from a far-off land. you find that the body belongs to Luthian, your long-time companian. He's in bad shape. He's bleeding from a bolt stuck in his temple, but moving it could only make things worse. you take off your shirt, rip the bolt out of his head and shove the shirt hard against the hole, praying he'll heal. 5) You're surprised when your efforts actually seem to stop the bleeding.
Luthian's bleeding is healed

Ekul Thomoipan
Charm Fischer and tell her how wonderful she is, also ask where I could get some very strong alcohol
3) you are smitten by Fischer for some reason and tell her that she is as beautiful as a cat sandwhich. She seems confused by this.

Luthian Nuradil
Shout at them to stop shooting, explain I was with the migrants.
N/a) (see Idem Valan)

Emong Daggerbeard
Run to Luthian to help!
Apologize profusely!
Diagnose wounds with novice diagnosis skill!
Act on diagnosis no matter what it is!

If Wropest asks for his claymore back, return it without stabbing him. If I don't roll badly.
N/a) You want to run to Luthian, having the feeling you may have hurt him by punching him 30 feet into the woods, but you're not sure where he is. instead, you follow the soldiers from Spearbreakers.
(Action failed becuase of vague details. you don't know where Luthian is. if you instead put "Find Luthian" it would have worked given a good roll.)

Wropest Abodip
"So that's where my old sword went. You can keep it, I think I like this new one better."
Follow Fischer, and try to make a good impression on the local dwarves.
N/a) (again, being too vague. sometimes I'll fill in the vague parts, but it's better for players to be as specific as possible.) You follow Fischer while whistling a traditional snow priest song. Emong offers your sword back to you, but you turn it down in favor of your new sword.

You all finally reach the drawbridge of Spearbreakers. after such a long journey it's a sight for sore eyes indeed. the barracks doors are open and you can see dwarves training in a building that partially makes up the outer walls. there are multiple guard towers. the spike walk awaits ahead of you and after that, Spearbreakers proper.
NPCs
N/a
Environment
Environmental roll: 5) the blood rain clears up finally and the sun comes out with a smiley face on it.

I got you Luthian.

Let Luthian lean on me, blood loss ain't pretty.

Don't run off again, we aren't in the forest retreats where trees will help you. Plus the few that are here are telling me to fuck off.

((>.> Fine, I'll draw up a quick sketch. You'll have to pardon my suckage. I'm a horrible artist and I'll be drawing from memory. Also: "dwarves in spearbreakers tolerate other species, but our marksdwarves shoot at anything that moves" Thank you.))

You... you mean that you've never had or know the beauty of a cat sandwhich?

Cry as I nurse my broken heart. Search for the booze stockpile

What, I forgot what direction I punted Luthian in? Or do projectiles travel in zig-zags?

Anyways.
Go inside.

"So this is the famed Spearbreakers. I wonder if they've got a spare pair of gloves; this sword's making my hands numb."
Enter the fortress and search for a pair of gloves.

"Thank you brother, maybe while we are here we can do something about the forests."

Lean on Idem and head to the fortress.

"I wonder whats caused the forest to become so dark, surely it can not be just the dwarfs."

((Here you go, Terrahex. It menaces with spikes of not being to scale, bad handwriting, and the big squeeze. It's difficult to fit Spearbreakers (even just the most important parts) onto one sheet of paper, and it took me several attempts. Circled numbers indicate the order in which you'd pass which floor. I didn't draw the workshop floor (self explanatory) or the forges (no room). As to the part at the top right (1), everything to the left of the Depot Courtyard is aboveground. I was doing this from memory.))
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
((edit: also, apparently the staircase for the living quarters came loose.  ::) The spiral you see over Talvi's room should actually be at the end of the hallway to the left of it.))
