I got a fort called Bonegorge, founded by the Golden Fangs of the Crazy Empire. It was in the middle of a terrifying glacier called the Tenebrous Ice I think. Its first champion earned the title 'The Destroyer of Squares' and was almost immediately turned into a cursed mist husk, then single handedly killed the other 89 dwarves in the fortress (I may have locked them in with him after the tantrums started).

From adventure mode:

Tosid Spearpriests the Fatal Fist of Spines, a speardwarf vampire. When he suffered a near-fatal spinal injury I retired him, because how could I let somebody called the Fatal Fist of Spines die?

Also, his companion Slada Cookshark the Creepy Recreations. I like to imagine she was some sort of creepy tribal girl who smelled like boiled shark, no matter how hard you scrubbed her.

That's some epic Fist of the North Star shit right there. I'm just surprised you didn't make him an expert striker who punched people's upper bodies off.

I was hoping he would somehow survive until the version came where spines could be used as weapons. Unfortunately however, he suffered a crippling spine injury and adventures no more. It's lucky that he became a vampire, he would have suffocated and died had he not been.

"crippling spine injury" "Fatal Fist of Spines" Now this is just me over analyzing things, and I mean no disrespect to any epicly named vampires out there, but maybe it was meant to be  :o...

The goblin empire that attacks me is known as Ozudstosbub, The Ruthless Hate, whilst the humans whom I trade with are called as the Ellozomon, "The Carnal Realms." I love both those names. The Elves are the "The Wet Mists" which is decent, whilst the dwarves' whom I'm from are downright lame - "The Stoked Floor."

Dwarven civ named "The Gates of Death"... I have to imagine they're the most grimdark dwarves out there, which stands to reason as they were the only dwarven civ on their world

Group called The Grim Shields, inhabiting The Tower of Guards.

I would have loved to have recreated Minas Tirith, but I don't have that sort of time. Still ended up with a tall tower made of gneiss, though. We reached marble lately, too, and since there's no iron on the map, we may as well build another, bigger white tower for the royalty.

So to recap, one minute everything was going just great, and the next we have caverns collapsing, firebreathing cave beasts, underground brush fires, a screaming swarm of poltergheists back for revenge, zombies in the corridors, drunken brawls in the dining halls, magma pouring into the caverns, rotting miasma everywhere, insanity, madness, and a flying crocodile heading right towards us!

My current dorf civ is called 'The Whirling Staff' which makes me wish that quarterstaves were an available weapon.

My baron is a legendary mechanic called Nish Rigòthstâkud, the last name translating to Crafted Machines.

A few forts back I had a soldier earn the title 'The Persuasive Threat of Fears', and another earn 'The Scoured Dead-power of Murdering'. I am not getting into a fight with those guys!

There's safe. Then there's unsafe. And then there's the average dwarf fort, which remains unrated because the OSHA inspector flatly refused to go anywhere within a dozen miles of the place.

In my previous fortress a ranger migrant had the surname Luckyshot. This time I've named a dwarf after myself so that my family dynasty can become the supreme rulers of the fort. Turns out he's married someone with the last name Knifeplunged. This does not bode well.

A Forgotten Beast has just shown up, called 'Sedast the Ship of Bones'.

It's an epic beastie too - "A towering three-eyed tarantula. It has two long, straight horns and it is ravening. It's crimson exoskeleton is sleek and smooth. Beware it's poisonous bite!" You have to love the RNG - sometimes it throws up hilarious stuff. But, sometimes, you get awesomeness.

Legend tells of a fort besieged by a dragon. When 79 brave recruits fell to its breath, the last dwarf of the fort took up arms. He sprung from his sickbed and claimed an adamant one sword before he bulrushes the dragon. A clean swipe severs the head. But the dragon claws him in the lower body and burns him alive. As he melts into a pile of booze and fat, I rename him Ronnie James Dio and change his profession to dragonslayer. He will forever be immortalized and worshipped as a dragonslayer God.
