if we can shoot like we did, have such amazing reflexes and can slow down our perception of time, i think we can fly an aircraft.

You're assuming we can make heads or tails of the controls.
Imagine taking an average college professor who has never touched a rougelike and putting him/her at the controls of Dwarf Fortress and multiply that clusterf--- by three or four.

How would we find that guide or person? I highly doubt that an airport has "Hijacker's Guide to the Galaxy: Flying a Plane" or a pilot just lying around...

the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy HAS something about flying. it involves throwing yourself at the ground and missing.
