That'd be even more work, unless we've finally gotten some exchanges that'll let you buy dogecoin for dollars instead of for Bitcoins. I haven't really been keeping up. Is dogecoin's value falling in tandem with Bitcoin's?

Another major exchange has suspended withdrawals.  I'm not sure if it's as bad as the "You're never going to get your money back ever" situation at MtGox but it's definitely not helping confidence in the currency.

I've been messing with Doge and BTC for a bit (mostly Doge), and theres https://www.vaultofsatoshi.com/ which lets you do USD/Doge, but I haven't actually used em yet so....

Theres also the pain-in-the-ass thing where you cant just paypal or credit card it and buy, you have to send a check or do a bank transfer in.  The alternative is buying from a local vendor or from online using paypal (which actually disallows crypto currency, and theres tons of paypal scams so you end up paying a mega premium to do so) or google wallet (which I think doesn't actually have a problem with cryptos, but still scamming is rampant).  I took a risk with paypal and it worked for me, so /shrug.

Edit: Actually, if people are interested in Doge, I can throw some your way if you get an address, but don't clog this thread with address posts: just PM me.

They have now halted all bitcoin trading, and scrubbed their presence from social media. Apparently, they have also relocated their offices for security concerns.

Bitcoin as a whole has also continued dropping, and is now down 15% in the past 24 hours on other exchanges.

A rumor that MtGox had over 700k bitcoins stolen. Which would be basically one of the biggest heists of all time, given that the market value of that is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Near perfect time for anyone that wanted to buy low though I guess, nearly a perfect storm of clusterfuck price crash.  Now all we need is for the feds to sell their stash and it would crash to nearly nothing.
