I know, it's super weird. I'm just learning about economics right now but APPARENTLY if a demand is based entirely on speculation it doesn't last that long. Who would of knew?

I mean, awesome for the people who bought bitcoins for cheap and sold them as soon as they started rising in price again, but I bet a majority of the people jumped on the bandwagon far too late and are now sitting on worthless bitcoins. Well, that is until the price jacks up then plummets again.

Hmm. What I've learned about economics is that people are really bad at it.

You might as well just put your money on the roulette wheel, at least nobody's manipulating that.

e: Also they'll actually give you your money if you win, which isn't a given with BTC exchanges at all.

I think its funny how Bernanke has the highest pool despite being the reason that bitcoin is even getting any cash from speculative investors.

Yeah, probably a scam. This guy must be buying hookers and crack with his bounty money.

But let's imagine for a moment Bashar El-Assad, or another similarly bloody tyrant was on the list. Wouldn't it be tempting? Would you donate, hoping that some of his henchman decide to take the bounty?

I'm curious just how they'd verify a claim in the event of a successful assassination.

I mean think of it. You'd have hundreds of people claiming to have done it so you would need to do it in such a way that you have some evidence that you did it without leaving evidence for the authorities to know you did it...

You could probably tell them in advance that you're gonna do it, and then make the claim?  Still, I'd suggest not linking to websites that will probably result in every user being arrested.

But in that case I could just tell them, using various aliases, that I am going to kill all of the people on the list and hope one of them dies in a suspicious manner at some point and collect.

Are you saying the assassin pool needs a strong terms of service agreement to regulate how you can claim your rewards?

Because honestly if an assassin wanted my bitcoins I'd just give them to him and not argue.
