Diseases and Other Communicable Illness

Since we have the framework in place for syndromes, it doesn't seem that far of a stress to make them communicable dwarf -> dwarf, rather then just from extracts or powders.

That way you could have plagues ravage the fortress, either sparked from migrants, caravans, or perhaps even from forgotten beasts.

This would raise interesting situations such as quarantines, treatment, etc.

Some illnesses should be minor, causing a dwarf to only require some bedrest or to work more slowly, while other maladies would be possibly be dangerous if left untreated.

It can already be communicable dwarf-to-dwarf. You can actually mod these in-game with interactions.
